Modern and comfy

First the bad: the check in took a little longer than anticipated and I think it may have been due to training a new front desk clerk. There were a gaggle of teenage girls in the lobby completely embarrassing the poor kid behind the desk trying to train the other check in person. Now the good: The room was clean and modern, the beds were very comfortable and it was surprisingly awesome for the price. The breakfast bar was well stocked and very accommodating. Excellent over all.

D3 NCAA track and field stay

Pros: Clean and quite.
Cons: Could use a bar
Location: Plenty of places to visit from this location. Mall nearby. More restaurants than you can count.
Overall very nice. Exceptionally quite rooms. Close to dining an shopping.

Better than the 2.3 of 5 rating

Pros: Price was also a pro, considering the mini water park helped preserve adult sanity during our stay.
Cons: Less chlorine in the pool would be nice. Better heating/cooling for the room.
Location: Close to lots of shopping and restaurants. 25 minutes from airport maybe.
I strongly disagree with the current 2.3 out of 5 rating on this Holiday Inn. Based on our needs, this place worked out great. We had a family gathering in the area, and a primary goal was keeping a half dozen kids ranging from 2-6 years old entertained when we were not at specific family related events planned for the weekend. I'll go in to more detail below, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here next time we are in town. Pros: 1 - The pool. Over the course of 3 days, I think 9 hours of pool time might be an underestimate. Our kids were to small for the big slide (which was only ulocked for select hours during our stay). The mini water park was a winner in the shallow side of the pool. When the features were not turned on (8 o'clock in the morning), the staff graciously fired them up to appease the little ones. 2 - The breakfast. The coffee was good and there was milk and juices (watered down) for the kids. The meal selection was pretty robust, including pancakes, bacon/sausage, egss, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, cereal, bagels, and cinnamon rolls/pastries/muffins. Considering many diners end up costing me $30-$40 (meals, tips, taxes, etc.) for our family, this was a big bonus to our stay here in my opinion.

Location: There are so many different things to do near the hotel!
Everything was excellent not one complaint ! I enjoyed everything about the hotel, the room, pool, weight room, breakfast.

Room availability

I requested a King bed room with Jet bath or at least deep soaking bathtub. They didn't read my request. Therefore, we had a regular room. We were really disappointed. And we were handed 4 room cardKeys. But every cards doesn't work! These are not special things, but we were disappointed.

Worst experience

Called ahead 2.5 hrs to confirm late arrival. Reservation confirmed. Got to hotel and was told Sorry! Overbooked. Was sent to another hotel 12 miles away.

OK hotel. Executive suite not that special.

Hotel has a ok location close to Polaris, I paid for the executive suite and it was pretty average.
