“Very nice hotel”

We usually prefer to stay at Homewood Suites. They are always clean and we like the room size. Overall this is a very nice hotel.

“smelly room”

When we arrived at 3:30 pm, our room wasn't ready even though check in was at 3:00 pm. The front desk lady was not friendly at all. They finally gave us another room that was ready. They 2 employees at the desk were debating how they could rearrange another family who had reserved 3 rooms together, but hadn't checked in yet. The room was nonsmoking, but still smelled like smoke, especially in the bathroom. We decided not to complaign because we thought it would take a long time to get another room since they weren't all ready. The room layout was great. We had 2 bedrooms, and a living room/kitchen area. We had 6 people in the room, but their was only dishes for 4 people. I thought that was strange for a room that sleeps 6. Breakfast was okay. Nothing great. Some waffles or pancakes would have been nice. The lady working the breakfast area Sunday morning was great. Super friendly and helpful. The best employee we encountered there. There was a mall across the street and all kinds of restaurants. We bought dinner from Boston Market, and brought it back to the room. We were able to get 2 full chickens, 6 sides, and 6 rolls all for $35.00. Great deal for feeding 6 people!

“smoking rooms”

I requested a non smoking room and got a smoking room. That was a big disappointment. Coming from a state where smoking is not allowed even in bars, to have to "live" in a smoking room was not pleasant. I don't like the room arrangement of the suite. I much prefer the suite feel of the Embassy, where there are 2 separate rooms. I will think long and hard before I stay in the Homewood Suites again.

“Disappointed”

I have stayed at this hotel in the past for business and returned for leisure as a result of past experience, as well as the location. However, the lot was being paved, so parking was very limited. Also, our room was not ready at the scheduled check in time. We were offered another very nice room. Our room was not cleaned for the 2nd day of our 2 day stay. Our room was vacant for housekeeping between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, but when we returned, it was apparent they had not been to our room. The front desk explained that they were working as fast at they could. When housekeeping arrived, it was not convenient for us, as guests of the hotel. Upon check-out, we were not asked how our stay was, as is customarily done. I will choose another hotel the next time in that area.
