“Unbelievable room and a very nice rate!”

This was a very nice hotel and the most spacious room we have ever had with double queen beds. The separate seating area was unexpected. We will stay again in a heartbeat. What we had for the rate we paid was unbeatable and we have stayed at many places over the past 6 years with my son's crew team travels and my daughter's volleyball tournaments. Going back to Columbus in another month and will book here again. Thank you!

“International visitors to Columbus, Ohio”

I traveled with 3 international visitors to the Midwest. We arrived at Columbus OH at midnite. They were tired after a long flight from Asia and then a connecting flight from Chicago. The desk clerk, Jason I believe and had a British accent, was friendly and accomodating. He treated them with respect and explained the details and policies of the hotel. The next morning, I asked how they felt and they were very happy with their rooms and especially the queen sized beds. They were thrilled that they slept so well and really liked the breakfast bar. They had trouble checking into their hotel in Chicago the next day and those folks were not terribly friendly to them. So I know they appreciated being treated well at LaQuinta in Columbus West on Trabue Rd.

“Reasonable for the price paid”

Not particularly friendly staff but sufficient service. Close to highway, close to Walmart, good breakfast, nice pool and clean enough

“Nice Staff”

It is nice that the room we got was the same as the picture. Nice bed (and comfortable) and linens, a couch, coffee table and desk and chair. AND a 42" or a 46" flat screen TV. VERY NICE.The continental breakfast was over early, 9AM and when they say 9AM that's what they mean. At 9:04 the area was clear except for the coffee, english muffins and danish. I passed them in the hall with a bowl of hard boiled eggs which they offered to me. I said yes and she came out with 2 eggs in a bowl. This is my only complaint, but we were only there overnight.

“Sticky floor at entrance.”

Wood floor at entrance was sticky. Seemed like floor was well worn and wood was just sticky from use.

“Road Tripper Approved”

This is a fairly standard, mid-level, "business traveler" type of hotel. I stopped there just to rest a night during a multi-day road trip (it's located near I-70), so I can't comment on most of the hotel's amenities. But I did find my room quite clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning is a bit on the skimpy side, but I've certainly seen worse, and it is free after all. They do have the waffle maker at least. One minor complaint: The bed didn't have a quilt or comforter. It just had a blanket (warm) between two layers of sheets. I'm sure this keeps things sanitary, but it was a chilly night, and I would've appreciated the extra layer. However, I probably could've asked for an extra blanket, but I just didn't bother due to late hour and my exhaustion after a long day on the road. I simply cranked the heat up in my room, and I slept comfortably. Again, I have nothing but good things to say about the mattress and pillows. Also, I noticed the hotel is directly across the street from a movie theater. If I'd arrived a bit earlier in the evening, I would've had some convenient entertainment. That alone would be enough to convince me to stop by again on my next pass through Columbus.

“Pass on this one”

They put us in a decent room. However, the room was just down the hall from the elevator and ice-maker. Unfortunately, the doors have large air gaps where you can hear everything clearly from the hallway, so in between the people getting ice and coming off the elevator and the constant flood of light from the hallway, we found it difficult to get good sleep. Also, the pillows suck, so you might want to bring your own if you decide to stay here. They feel fluffy at first but immediately collapse into uselessness under the weight of your head. I'd say if they at least sealed the doors properly, we would have had a pleasant experience and considered this hotel worth its cost to stay at.

“Not so sweet suite”

My son is on a gluten free diet, so I choose hotels that have suites. This way, I can bring food and avoid him getting ill. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the refrigerator and the microwave was a bit worn. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean.
