Served its purpose

My party was in Columbus for Rock on the Range and we needed an affordable place to sleep for two nights. This hotel provided that but little else. I'll start with the positives. Check in was quick and easy. We arrived late and I knew the hotel was sold out, so I was concerned they may not have the type of room I had booked. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised they had the correct room, but also on the first floor closest to the main entrance! There was three in my party so we reserved a queen suite with a pullout sofa. The queen bed was comfortable and I slept great. For the hotel being sold out and filled with fellow rockers, it was amazingly quiet also. Now for the negatives. Unfortunately, as we were settling into the room we realized the linen for the sofa bed was not in the room. I had to return to the front desk to request the linen. In the morning I had to request additional towels because there was only two in the room. These are minor details but I have never had to do this in any hotel I've stayed. The breakfast hours were short, 7 - 9 I believe, and we were not awake in time either day to partake. Finally, there wasn't a channel guide or a guide with hotel policies or local information in the room. I am not from Columbus so having guides with local channels and restaurants in the area would have been helpful.

Okay. The lobby is not inviting. On outside windows very dirty. We had drapes closed in our room so didn't look out our window. We had a "suite" but definitely not our idea of a suite. We noticed only one person coming in to clean each morning so a lot of rooms to do for one person. Drapery rod in our bedroom looked askew as if starting to come down. Computer system was down when we arrived so had to give our credit card and drivers license to front desk to make a copy of until it was up. They did give us the copy once the system was up the next day but didn't like leaving that info at front desk. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean.

Pros: personal microwave, and fridge.
Location: not too much to say
We had toenails, hair, lint and dust on the carpet. Cracked, sagging ceiling with black mold above the shower.

Needs updating

This hotel was disappointing. The carpet in the room was in bad condition. We're pretty sure there was mascara on a pillow. Windows dirty.... It just really needs some TLC and more diligent housekeepers! Breakfast was ok.

The bathroom wasn't very clean. Had to clean it myself before using it. Overall the stay was ok.

An ok stay thay was far from great.

Posted Feb 25, 2015 on Hotels
This stay was pretty much an ok stay at a hotel. My family stayed in a two queen room, which was surprisingly roomy, because the bathroom seperated off the two beds making it a two bedroom. This was a great feature for the family. Now as far as the bad goes, this hotel is hit. The chairs in our all had rips and tears in them. The new flat screen TVs were ok, but the cable sucked. All of the channels had lots of fuzz, and not a single HD channel. The "free WiFi" was only in the breakfast area. In the room it was non existent. Also half of the towels in the room smelled like they had been burn in the dryer, and they were unusable. So to sum it up this was an ok hotel to stay at, but dont set the bar too high for your expectations, as this sure is not a Hilto or Marriott. Personally it felt more like an econolpdge.

OK for a 1 night stay

OK for a 1 night stay. A bit worn--burn hole in bedspread in a non smoking room, worn armrest (almost a hole) on couch, frayed carpet where it connects with tile, etc. but otherwise OK
