Great location

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Hotel was overall a great experience, the across the street parking is less than desirable and the red roof lot was full causing us to pay an extra 4 dollars for the neighboring lot, the desk clerk could have had a slight brush up on customer service. But for the price and area we would definitely stay again!!

Worst was a missing remote for the TV. The front desk quickly gave us another one

I was only in the room for a couple hours to sleep because I was there on business. The hotel staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was OK, missing decaf coffee

Cons: Parking, but it was only that there was almost no parking in front to unload and I had to lug my bags across the street in the snow. Not a big deal
Easy in and out, inexpensive but nice facilities and amenities, friendly and courteous staff.

The Sheets Made Is Break Out

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Everything was fine but The two of us broke out in rashes from neck to toe because of too much detergent on the bedding (which was either scratchy from the get go or just over processed). My take: bring your own blankets if you stay here.

Nice hotel close to OSU campus.

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: European-style rooms; I felt like I was in an Ikea showroom!
Cons: Tub mat lifted up while I was bathing and it was not as clean as I'd prefer beneath the mat.
Location: I was picking up my daughter in the morning at OSU for an appointment at Grant Medical Center. Location for our purpose was perfect.
Unexpected visit due to weather. I needed to be able to pick up my daughter at OSU early on Wednesday morning, so I drove up the night before. She had an appointment at Grant Medical Center--also close to the hotel. It worked out perfectly as the weather was indeed quite bad on Wednesday morning.

Convention Center convenience

Posted Feb 13, 2015
Been attending conferences at Columbus Convention center for years and staying at the Red Roof Inn. They have updated their rooms with modern furniture, lots of plugs for cell phones, laptops, etc... It's a safe go to, clean and efficient. Staff was super friendly too.

Fine Hotel Near Convention Center

Posted Feb 13, 2015
I stayed at this hotel during a conference I attended for work. It is very close to the Convention Center - only about a 5 minute walk. I was able to get a parking pass for the Red Roof Inn's section of the parking lot across the street early on my first day, in the morning before check in. This was very helpful. Check in that afternoon was easy, and the room was very nice. Breakfast each morning was limited but just fine for me! The front desk staff was very attentive and helpful. My only complain is about parking. Unfortunately the Red Roof Inn's section of the lot is only big enough for about 40 cars, if that - and if their lot is full, you have to park in the adjoining city lot which is much more expensive. I got back from dinner at 8:00 or 9:00 each evening, and by that time the hotel's section was full. Other than that, I had a great stay!

Comfort | Value | Convenience

Posted Feb 6, 2015
Cons: I wasn't thrilled that we had to pay $10 for parking across the street, then cross a moderately busy street with bags, etc.
Location: Convenient location to hockey arena and restaurants
I would recommend this hotel to everyone! My husband and I stayed overnight to attend the Blue Jackets hockey game. The hotel was conveniently located just two blocks from the arena, which we were able to walk with no problem. The staff at the hotel was very nice, and the rooms are clean a spacious. We had a 6th floor room, and the view was nice too. I wasn't too thrilled that we had to pay $10 for parking across the street, then cross a moderately busy street with bags, etc., but I don't think this is avoidable on the hotel's part. There's simply not enough land next to the hotel for a parking lot. Compared to other hotels in the immediate area, the Red Roof Plus is a fantastic value! If I ever go to Columbus again I would not hesitate to stay here again.
