Shadowlawn Stay

Had a terrific short stay at Shadowlawn after attending family reunion. Lovely, beautiful, felt right at home. Burnett is a fabulous hostess and chef. Caesar the dog was a treat, too!

Beautiful Home

Posted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I went to visit our daughter at college and this B&B is located across from the school. The convenience was great. I loved the layout of the home and all the beautiful antiques. Our room was lovely and we had a nice large bath. The only things I did not like was one, our bed was so hard a good update on the mattress is seriously needed. Two, the neighbors dogs barked all night and it was hard to tune out. Three, we were disappointed in the breakfast. We had a breakfast sandwich and a parfait. I was hoping for a more home cooked breakfast, especially for the pricey room. Will we stay here again? Not sure the value was not good for the money we paid.

Historical Beautiful B&B - MUST-SEE and EXPERIENCE

Posted May 6, 2010 on Hotels.com
I definitely did not expect to stay in this historical house built around 1849. It was most authentic and well-taken care of. The home-made breakfast was priceless!!

Charming old building, recently renovated, nice host and hostess. Lacks some of the "hotel" conveniences but that is why you go to a B & B right?
