“ok for a quick stay”

The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable and the shower had enough water pressure. But the continental breakfast was scarce and sad looking. There was not enough towels and couldn't get another pillow.

“Decent hotel for price”

The hallway smelled like mildew, but the room was fine. Bad for light sleepers - you hear every slamming door all night/ morning. Nice to have bill be cheaper than we thought though.

“Needed a place for one night!!”

We were heading to a graduation at IU and just neede something fairly close to spend the night. Seemed as though everything in bloomington was booked up, so made this our choice. It was nothing fancy, but served our purpose. The continental breakfast was sufficient!!!!

“Not impressed”

The staff was friendly enough, but the motel is old and not very clean.

“Major problems”

When you're trying to save money, you always gamble. I lost this particular gamble. When I walked into the room, tired and dusty and ready to rest, I went to close the curtains, as I've done in many a hotel room before. The entire curtain rod tore loose from the ceiling and fell onto the floor. The clerk assured me that this had happened before--apparently after improper re-intallation after a paint job--and that it could be fixed quickly. However, the gentleman who came to inspect it agreed with me: couldn't be fixed that night. All they could offer me as a replacement was a smoking room. After some consideration, they found a "suite" that they "very seldom rented" and that might be all right. Rather than drive back out into the dark with no sure destination and no refund of my money, I accepted the replacement. It was comfortable and clean enough--BUT! THERE WAS NO HOT WATER. That night I got it up to lukewarm; the next morning it was downright cold. Sup[er 8s were once fairly good bargains. I've had a couple of other experiences that convince me that they have lost their luster. This one is a definite loser.

“Outdated is ok...not filth”

I can deal with old and outdated furnishings but not filth and bugs. I'm on a tight budget so I didn't have a choice but to stick it out.
