OK just to lay your head

After a 7 1/2 hour trip from Mississippi we arrived around 2:30 a.m. and the desk clerk that checked us in was very nice. The room...well it was simply okay just to lay our heads, but I knew this when I reserved it from the other reviews. We were just anxious to see our son in Ft. Benning. We had a 3 night stay and the first 2 night were rough because our air conditioner barely worked and it was LOUD! The phone didn't work at all and there were beer cans that my children found under the beds. On the third day another desk clerk cheerfully moved us to another room. I don't know her name but God bless her! We're not big complainers anyway but with all the business they get they could do a little renovations here and there and air out the rooms. My children loved the hot cocoa Overall , it was ok to lay our heads down at the last minute.

Not satisfied, The bathroom door would not close. The air conditioning did not work properly. There was no frig or microwave in the rooms as advertised. The room door did not have an inside lock only the entrance lock. One of the non-smoking rooms smelled of cigarettes.

Pros: Serious??
Cons: Where do I begin? New carpet, new linens, new paint, it could smell much better, Cover the entrance with a canopy, move the entrance off the road
Location: There is a shopping mall behind the motel. There are a several restaurants behind and down the street
It's a place to sleep. Camping in a tent would have been more comfortable.

Get what u payed for....sorta

The rooms were nasty and hot, the toilet wouldn't flushed asked for help and took them over an hour to have someone come look at it and didn't fix it.
