This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel. Lovely view Over the lake. Owner/chef cooks really good meals. Staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Good location for seeing the area around.

Lovely hotel by the lake.
A lovely place to stay right beside the lake - wonderful view from the restaurant. Breakfast was filling but not special. Our room was clean and comfortable but a little tired. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly return again.

At the foot of Combourg Castle
The rooms themselves are small and tidy -- perfectly reasonable for the price -- they have a wonderfully refreshing view of the lake. Situated well in a great village, right at the foot of Combourg Castle. The owners were so hospitable and generous with us! We had a lovely time there.

Pleasant surprise.
We chose this because it was the only hotel available to see Mont Saint Michel that was dog friendly and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and welcoming and even welcomed our Golden Retriever with open arms. We had a fantastic dinner even though we arrived quite late in the evening and the view of the lake was so beautiful and calming. Highly recommended and not all that far from Michel if you have a car.

Room was small. Not clean. Got in late around 9:30PM, they would not give us the code to Free Internet. They kept saying not working, but I could see it on my phone. The bath towels were the same size as face towels. No curtains on the windows, just some see through white material.

Nice staff, charming area.
Single night stay during road trip through France. Staff very helpful, room was small but practicle and clean. Town is charming with good resturants near by. Nice breakfast with good coffee in the morning.

central to so many interesting sites
It was a most enjoyable stay in the peaceful surroundings of the Lac.So well located in the town beside other hotels and restaurants.However the quality of this hotels restaurant meant that you did not have to leave the hotel.If we ever dock at Cherbourg again we will stay here.

Needs more than 2*
We visited from England for the weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The hotel is nestled next to a large lake and in the shadow of the domineering Chateau de Combourg. The surrounding area and small town is superb with a good offering of bars/restaurants aimed at couples looking for a relaxed evening or unrushed day. The hotel is ran by a husband and wife team with him looking after the kitchen and her front of house were a warm and friendly reception is offered at all times. The rooms are comfortable, en-suite and clean (a couple more English TV channels wouldn't go amiss but that is a minor point to be made). The food is of fine cuisine and taken at a steady pace (if you want fast food I suggest you visit McDonalds or the like). All in all well priced, good quality and no real complaints. This deserves more than the 2* rating it currently has.

The hotel is in a very nice location, the service was excellent and the rooms were adequate. We didn't have the breakfast as they seemed to only have bread and eggs but there were cafes and pancake houses less than 2 minutes walk away. Overall very satisfied with the stay

Logis Du Lac.is in a lovely location.
This is a nice Hotel in a lovely town. The restaurant was top class but a little over priced (maybe this was due to the exchange rate with the euro being almost on par with the pound). The room was small and stuffy. Access to the room was up a very narrow staircase and at least 30 steps which made it all but impossible to get our suitcase up it. I looked for a way out of our room incase of a fire and if the staircase was blocked then i think there would have been no chance of getting to safety. Overall the hotel and town location near the chateau and lake were superb but i think the room and safety standards in case of fire were not up to scratch. If i was to come back to the town i think i would look for somewhere else to rest my head but would consider using the restaurant with it's lovely lake view.

LOVELY HOTEL IN SUPERB SETTING .WE HAD A COMFORTABLE ROOM WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW OVER THE LAKE . THE TOWN IS DELIGHTFUL AND THE CHATEAU VERY INTERESTING. STAFF AT THE HOTEL WERE VERY HELPFUL WE WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK.

Positives - reasonably priced, room clean (although very small), comfortable, and quiet. Negatives - very small car park. Don't arrive on a Sunday! No-one in reception, so good job we speak a bit of French. After wandering round hotel looking for an entrance found a small handwritten note (in French) giving phone numbers for guests who had forgotten the pin number for the entry system. Rang this and left a message. Proprietor rang back and gave me a number to get in - the key had been left on the desk. The restaurant was closed on Sundays, but fortunately there was one open in the town. We came down the next morning at 8 expecting breakfast but, although the owners son was on the premises there was no one to provide breakfast or to check us out so I couldn't change our method of payment which I wished to do.

Hôtel romantique
Un excellent accueil dans un joli cadre, vue sur le lac et sa nature. Une chambre propre et une literie confortable, lieu très silencieux, propice au repos. Petit bémol, le parking trop petit sinon tout bien. On reviendra !

Très bien, mis à part le fait que je n'ai pas pu profiter du restaurant, fermé le samedi soir de mon arrivée. Mais les hôtels et restaurants souffrent beaucoup des divagations gouvernementales face à l'épidémie.

Hotel super sympa a un lieu relaxant et très calme. Accueil chaleureux et souriant! Le seule petit hic c’était la salle de bain. La toilette et la douche n’était pas très propre. Apart cela, c’était très bien! Magnifique vue sur le lac!
