The Holekamp House Bed & BreakfastPosted Oct 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The rooms are very clean and well decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful but not crowding you, This house is located 20 minutes from Fredricksburg's famous Oktoberfest, shops, and WalMart. It was cheaper to stay here than in a hotel to my surprise. The gourmet breakfast was prepared in their kitchen and they share their recipes. There are deer on the premises after dark that do not spook during casual conversation. I personally enjoyed visiting their doll house chicken coup and raised garden beds. Church bells ring in the distance at dawn accompanied by bird songs. I will return.

Beautiful home!Posted Jun 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Beautiful home, excellent hosts, and incredible food...what more can you ask for? We stayed at Holekamp after a long drive from New Mexico. John and Mary were very welcoming. The bed was VERY comfortable and the bathroom very nice. I loved the large shower. I highly recommend Holekamp to all finding themselves in the Comfort-Kerrville-Fredricksburg area.

Great StayPosted May 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at the HoleKamp House Bed & Breakfast. We had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely beautiful, and the host and hostess let us walk around upstairs to see the rooms. Our room (Otto's Vineyard) was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and the host/hostess were delightful. We would definitely come back and hope to in the future!

Son's WeddingPosted May 8, 2013
Pros: The most enjoyable element of this bed and breakfast were the hosts, Mary and John. They provided for the most pleasant interaction with the house.
Cons: Perhaps a small marquee sign indicating the name of the house located by the guest parking would help guest confirm they've arrived at the right spot.
Location: Holekamp House is located in a central antique area of Texas and one can simply spend a restful time antique shopping or enjoying nearby communities.
From the moment we arrived, we knew this was not any typical "hotel" stay. Unfortunately, my wife and I arrived real late, 11:30pm, and being new to the area did not have a good bearing on the Holekamp's location. Fortunately, however, I had the Holekamp's phone number listed on my cell phone and a few minutes later, Mary was giving me specific directions to get to the B&B. We finally made it and upon entering the B & B, we felt we were stepping back into the history of the Victorian era. Once we stepped into our "bedroom", we totally escaped into a time where people lived to enjoy life. Nothing rushed or commercialized about this stay. The breakfasts served were excellent as well. There isn't even a place to check in. When you enter your bedroom, a copy of the stay's statement is waiting for you indicating that all transactions have been taken care of and cleared. A relief that allows you to then focus on the pleasures one came to enjoy.

Wonderful B & BPosted Mar 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
A very lovely old home, well maintained. Beautiful wood floors. Dining room is beautiful! Mary and Jonh are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was beautifully presented and quite delicious! Rooms were quiet and well equipped. Lots of electrical outlets for an old house. Wifi included. Great front porch with swing. We would stay here again if the opportunity arises...

Perfect B&B for a wonderful small town experiencePosted Jan 2, 2013
The Holekamp House B&B is a charming property, just a few blocks from the historic downtown area. The House has an interesting history. The proprietors, John and Mary, have done a nice job of keeping the property in its original condition. There is a picture of the house from the early days upstairs by the microwave. Compare it to the current condition. The rooms are comfortable and the mattresses are outstanding. The only downside of the room is that there was no shampoo in the shower. Be sure to ask John about the history of the area.
