“Great Stay”

Room was immaculate, all hotel staff I had contact with were extremely courteous. Would definitely stay again.

I think the hotel should have a parking area to accommodate hotel guests only, I don't think it's fair for hotel guests to fight for a parking space with casino players. When you think about it, it wasn't so cheap to stay there, that's the least they can do. Not only that, we wanted to take pictures of all the beautiful architect work in the hotel and we were told that we can not take any pictures inside or outside of the hotel, if we had known that, we would have never booked there. So, if you want to take pictures for scrap booking sake or memories of staying in the hotels, Crowne Plaza is not a place for you to stay. They do have a refrigerator and microwave, which is a plus, but then the fridge is a wet bar and you will be billed if you do take something out and look at it for more than a few seconds. One other thing that we weren't so please was on the day of check out, they came knocking at our door around 9:30 am and wanted to come and clean. I knew that we had until noon. They even asked us aren't we checking out? I thought that was rude.

Arrival: I was told that there would be guest parking available for free. What they don't tell you is that it's located in the next county and shared by customer of the casino. Good luck driving around looking for that free parking space. There is a way around this if you want to pay for valet parking.($) I thought there would be a refrigerator in my room, and there was. The only problem was that it was a wet bar fully stocked. If you even so much as look at any of the items in there your room will be billed. I requested an empty refrigerator be brought to my room. Hours later I had to make a second request. When it was at long last delivered, It looked as if it been run over by a truck. Broken shelves and stained from age. The room was very nice and clean. I thought the makeup mirror in the bathroom was a nice touch. Too bad there was no magnification to it, and the lighting was so terrible in the bathroom.

On the positive side, the hotel is well staffed, generally clean and comfortable, and has $2/night valet service (the best part of my stay). On the negative side, its a casino, so you get a lot of people traffic at all hours, mostly smoking just outside the casino doors. I swear there were 15 people smoking when I got back from my 5:30am run. The surrounding area is rough, I got my morning run in, but would be lying if I said I didn't feel a little nervous during parts of the run, also...stay on the main street if you run, it gets real rough on the side streets.
