I was very impressed with the Palace hotel. The staff at the front desk spoke very good English and were very helpful and knowledgable. The room was so comfortable, and I especially loved the shower. would definitely stay here again.

Only had a 2 night stay, but hotel gave a great impression.
Reception staff were so helpful with everything (helping make an itinerary for our short trip to squeeze as much in as possible, getting taxis, travel advice etc).
Restaurant had great food and sommelier was helpful, friendly and fun (advisable to book a table at breakfast for dinner). The service from waiters could have been sharper, but I found that the same in several restaurants in Como. Got back late on Sunday (8:15pm) and couldn't get a table for dinner, but hotel staff directed us to a nearby pizzeria, which was the best food of the weekend.
Room was a touch small, but clean and had the essentials. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together which made for some falling in the gap in the night...any shortcomings were made up for by the lake view, which was spectacular with a balcony to enjoy it from.
Location was good, able to walk to Como along the lakeside road (with pavement), though finding a taxi to get back from Como proved difficult on a Sunday evening. The hotel sits right on the lake.

Nice hotel but more like a 3 star in terms of room and facilities. Staff lovely and food both at breakfast and dinner was really nice. Shame they don't offer free wifi though as this would be a real bonus.

Good stylish hotel with nice rooms. Lovely gardens, although traffic noise is evident. Pool looks lovely but it was too cold to be in for any length of time. The corporate event overwhelmed the hotel which meant breakfast was every man for himself and when they all checked out, it meant our room was not made up until 18:00 at night.

This hotel is in a great spot for exploring Como and surrounds. It is has a contemporary feel with a bar/restaurant downstairs. (This never bothered us noise wise, we were on the 4th floor). The guy on the front desk after 2pm always smiles and is there to please his guests. Our room was clean, modern with a great shower and interactive TV. Our luggage was held before and after check out.

"Location good easy walk into Como 10 mins to centr"
We found the location of the hotel good for exploration of the area which we did by foot. We paid for parking in the hotels garage as did not intend to use it while we were there. It was 15 euros a day so not cheap but safe.
The staff were friendly but more used to dealing with people on business in Como. Communal area ok clean, modern and functional.
Rooms good size, clean and comfortable. Could be noisy though
breakfast although a lot on offer could be better with fresh fruit and breads

I wanted a hotel near the station (this was a 5 minute walk).. The hotel is a simple and clean and has friendly staff. The breakfast was basic. Although I had a very pleasant stay I thought it was expensive for the price. Once I knew the city centre was only another 5 minutes walk I would have picked a hotel closer to the shops for the same price.

This lakeshore town near the Swiss border has elegant parks and medieval buildings. It also has a busy industrial quarter based on silk manufacture, and is a fine place for shopping. A museum traces the history of Como’s textiles, which still supply the great fashion houses of Europe. Main sights are a handsome Gothic - Renaissance cathedral, and the Romanesque church of Sant’Abbondio, decorated with 14th-century frescoes.
