The hotel was exceptionally clean. The bedroom and bath room were very large and furnished beautifully. Each room has its own balacony. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Dinner in the dining room was served by polite workers and food was delicious and price right. I would highly recommend this hotel and would go back. Very clean, polite employees, good food and location.

I have now stayed at the Hotel Splendid on two occasions. The staff is very polite, friendly and always willing to assist with suggestions on where to go and how to get there. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and my room had a large balcony as well. Breakfast is excellent, offering a variety of meats, cheeses, bread and fruits with both indoor and outdoor seating. I have no reservations saying this is an excellent hotel with a very reasonable price considering its location. I am returning to the area again this year and am already planning to stay here for a third time; I just hope they aren't fully booked!

“Great small hotel in Mamaia”

This hotel is very modern. The rooms are spacious and clean. Loved to stay there. It is not located on the beach, but on the back on the lake. You can just cross the street and be by the beach. Staff was very corteous and breakfast was fantastic. The rooms have a nice balcony where you can see the lake. Overall really good place.

“Splendid stay at the Splendid Hotel”

We found the services to be exceptional with all members of the staff doing that little bit extra to make sure the customers needs were met. The food was excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. We had a lovely room with a balcony over looking the lagoon and enjoyed watching the sun set over Constanta. I would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to my friends

“Splendid Indeed!”

I stayed here for 14 days at the end of September. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful. No problem if you only speak English. The laundry service was excellent as well. I had my clothes back clean, folded, ironed and smelling wonderful within 24 hours. The only issue I had was intermittent WiFi. But if you sit by the door and hold your leg just right...you will get a connection. :-) I recommend this place if on business or holiday. You will not be dissatisfied! It is definately SPLENDID! “Book this hotel, forget the others !”

When planning to do a customer visit in Constanta, I looked at a number of hotels. Reviews and pricing were important factors. I thought that the room rate of the Hotel Splendid was on the low side and was not expecting too much from the hotel. How wrong could I be!. i booked 4 rooms and all 4 of us were extremely impressed by the level of service, the quality of the rooms (we all had balcony's looking out over the water) and although we got there too late for the restuarant, they organised a pizza delivery that was taken care off by the hotel staff. Rooms: Good size, clean and well layed out. Comfortable bed, good heating (-8 deg C outside) and a powerful shower. Facilities: Small car park with spaces for us at 10pm at night. Restuarant with a great breakfast (didn't try the evening meal) Value for money: Completely exceeded my expectation. I have stayed in much worse hotels that were far more expensive. Book this hotel.

“Glamour concentration camp”

The hotel amazes with the faultless cleanliness, novelty, freshness. Also kills an absolute cold of attendants, its fanatical suspiciousness and thin ability to support in the client a sense of guilt for not taken place acts. The family with children here in general nothing to find.

“Hotel Splendid, Mamaia, Romania”

Mamaia itself is arguably still Romania's premiere Black Sea resort. While it can not really compare to most of the Med in terms of sophistication, it has a good safe beach and plenty of good value restaurants and bars. Most hotels on the main Mamaia strip are pretty basic, with even the 4* ones being slightly frayed around the edges. The Hotel Splendid is noticeably different: it is marketed more as a business hotel, so it makes do without a swimming pool and is set on the opposite side of the main (only) road that runs along the spit of land that the resort sits on between the lake and the sea. Most of the other older hotels are on the sea side of the road. As a business-oriented hotel it is extremely well finished - I travel all over the World on business, staying in some of the best luxury hotels and I have honestly not seen a cleaner one. In fact it is almost antiseptic and certainly has no 'character'. The rooms are large, with a balcony and a very comfortable modern bed and a big well-equipped bathroom with shower - all exceptionally clean by any European let alone Romanian standards. Breakfast is slightly disappointing and is Eastern rather than Western Continental European - lots of cold cuts and cheese and tomatoes and not much in the way of extravagent delicacies.

Great Hotel in Constanta's Mamaia resort section. Strong service, cleanly, modern rooms, and a very good restaurant. Superb value for the price! Would definitely stay there again.

“Good value”

The hotel is situated in a good location and rooms were clean and big enough, with balconies. The walls are very thin though so it was quite noisy. One of the reasons I picked this hotel was for its spa facilities, but you had to pay for the sauna and neither massages nor facials were available when I was there. The restaurant served good food though.
