“Great value in Cookeville”

For Thanksgiving, my sister and I and her 3 year old decided to stay in a hotel instead of crowding into my grandmother's house. We knew from past experiences that a tiny hotel room would never work with a 3 year old who needed to go to bed earlier, so we decided to try and find a hotel with a suite. This hotel not only had a suite (with a separate bedroom and living room, each with its own TV), but it was a very reasonable price. The poor staff who were stuck working the night shift on Thanksgiving were so incredibly nice and helpful. We really liked this place and actually will probably stay there next year as well.

Great location, on and off easy, plenty of rest., stores, gas stations.. excelent pit stop when on the road. Room was clean and modern with all the little things one looks for after hours behind the wheel.

The hotel seems to be recently redecorated, very clean and well maintained. A real value! Comparable to other hotels in Cookeville at double the price. Rooms are well soundproofed. Ours was right beside the elevator and we never heard it in the room. There was a big thunderstorm one night and we were barely aware.

We stayed two nights while visiting my son at Tennessee Tech. I normally use another hotel in Cookeville and was disappointed to find it booked for our weekend. I took a room at the Thunderbird because it was the only room available in town that weekend that met our needs (two queens and a sofa bed). I was very satisfied! Our room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. The staff was professional and friendly. Even the sofa bed had adequate linens and pillows. The bathroom was a little dated, but spotless and roomy. The free breakfast was a little limited compared to some others, but it was well stocked all the way up to closing time, and the fruit was fresh and appealing. We are not looking for luxury during our weekend stays, just a safe and clean and comfortable place to sleep and gather. The Thunderbird met our requirements, and it was just as nice as and more affordable than where we usually stay. I will look at the Thunderbird first for future stays in Cookeville!

The staff was real helpful my husband can not walk well so they put us next to an evelator, our stay was real nice, thank you.
