“Great place to stay & convenient location!”
I stayed here for a couple of days while doing family genealogy. Mountains all around and beautiful scenery. Staff was pleasant & easy to deal with.
Room was perfect for me - and I can be a picky traveler! The bathroom had plenty of counter space, and plenty of towels. I'm not a fan of water conservation where the pressure from the shower was slightly less than home, but it was still doable, compared to other places I've stayed in.
The breakfast was EXCELLENT, in my opinion! There was plenty of choices - cold/hot cereal, coffee, cappachino, juice, rolls, bagels, donuts, bread, fresh fruit - and the hot breakfast changed daily. Choices were: waffles, eggs, french toast, omelets, sausage, bacon, etc. I had plenty to eat, to get me through until dinner time.
Plenty of restaurant choices all around - and all within 2-3 miles from hotel. Many stores of all kinds were easily available on this main street as well.
I did not get to finish all of my research so when I return next Spring - I'm definitely staying here again!
Area recommendations
Livingston - because it's rich in genealogy research. Beautiful old cemeteries all around, and beautiful roads that take you so far from the real world. Many state parks are within 20-50 miles away and rich in history and beauty as well.
Plenty of shopping & restaurants all close by. Friendly people all around - no matter where I went.
Getting around
It's hard to use a GPS when hitting the back roads. Even when I could see the intersection on my map - the GPS wouldn't take it. Best to write the directions down - or use your favorite map search engine to print off directions.
