Nice place to stay near Cooperstown

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The people, the food, the decor. The backyard and breakfast room were very nice places to just hang out and unwind from big days out.
Cons: The bed we had may need to be replaced - not as comfortable/supportive as I would have liked.
Location: The Cooperstown area is well worth a visit and not just for the Baseball Hall of Fame. There are museums, an opera theater, and plenty of activities.
Nice place, got a good deal. Breakfast was very good, and the people who work there are very nice. The room we stayed in was a bit on the small side, but in a way that brings to mind the word 'cozy'.

Cooperstown Deal

Joe provides a comfortable space to relax. We enjoyed breakfast immensely. We would have loved to take advantage of the inviting backyard but time didn't permit.

Convenient to Glimmerglass Opera

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Convenient to the Glimmerglass Opera and easy to get to downtown Cooperstown
Cons: Better quality bath products. Better attention to detail.
Location: Glimmerglass Opera, Baseball Hall of Fame, Farmer's Museum, Cooper Museum. Some good restaurants like Café Niccoletta and the Rose and Kettle
All the guests enjoyed the communal breakfast tables. Beautiful grounds. Very clean. One day we came back to our room and found the door unlocked and ajar. Fortunately, nothing was missing. Also, on our last night they forgot to leave towels and the owner, Joe, was not around to give us some.

A great escape

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Great for families
Location: Cooperstown, the Farmers Museum and Glimerglass Opera.....a perfect city get away.
We were up to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and chose this hotel on a whim. We have two boys (12 & 9) and they just loved the back yard. The stream was the real highlight trying to catch fish and walking along the rocks and for me laying in the hammock. The rooms are clean and have everything you expect in a bed and breakfast. The hosts were just wonderful. Perfectly located and at a great price. The breakfast in the morning had everything you could ask for. A great get away....we will return

funky

Pros: see above
Cons: fewer gewgaws i the room -eg leaopardmprint throw and docorative pillows on bed, left no room for our belongings. This room had two dressers: way too
Location: convenient for glimmerglass, the main reason to be there.
room, bedding, towels comfortable and clean. decor exotic: african pictures (monkeys, lions, tigers) trinkets all around with african touches, including a moskito net! we heard another room was all flowers and butterflies, another plqain. new windows, but no closet, only a clothes tree. alsmost not enough room to put suitcase. place needs some repairs. BUT nice backyard, a place to sit and listen to a babbling brook.

Pros: Clean, quiet, restful and a GREAT choice for breakfast. Your host, Joe, does everything to make your stay PERFECT! Oh, loved the shower!
Cons: The towels were clean, the bed was VERY comfy, the food was great, NOTHING to improve!
Location: Hayden Creek is located 10 miles from Cooperstown. Glimmerglass is nearby as well as some nice antique and curio shops.
Hayden Creek B & B is a clean, quiet and restful place located 10 miles from Cooperstown. The drive is well worth it, as once you get there, it's just plain wonderful. Joe serves up a great breakfast and the room was nicer this year than last year. Room 1 was wonderful; Room 5 Rocks! There is absoluitely nothing bad to say about this B & B!. On a scale of 1 to 10, it deserves a 15!

Beautiful Spot

A lovely bed and breakfast. The backyard was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were nice and clean. It is close to Cooperstown, but not as close as we thought - about 15-20 minute drive. I wish we could have stayed a few more days!

Pretty inn, friendly host.

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Beautiful gardens in back, tasty made-to-order eggs in the morning and a nice assortment of fruit, muffins and cereal.
Cons: We were a little surprised the inn was 10 miles from Cooperstown, which was a little far, but the drive is lovely.
Location: Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
We stayed at Hayden Creek Inn to be near Cooperstown. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed staying there.
