Unexpected ammenities
The room was much better than we anticipated because it had both a refrigorator and a microwave. These were not included in the discription. The room was not ready when we arrived because we arrived earlier than normal check-in time but the staff check us in anyway and let us stow our stuff in the room. When we returned for the evening the room was immaculate and just the right temperature.

Excellent All-Around
Everything was great, easy check-in and check-out, friendly staff, room overlooking lake was very clean and comfortable. Absolutely no issues, would definitely stay here again.

I liked) 1) the proximity to Glimmerglass Opera Festival. 2) Friendly staff. 3) Not noisy. Several negative things were: 1) Very strong disinfectant/cleaning liquid odor for the first two days of our 4-day stay. 2) Description of amenities is inaccurate: no paddle wheel boats (which were advertised on signage). 3) Breakfast, as is advertised, is really a toaster and microwave in the motor inn office. No Bread, butter, condiments, or place to sit. 4) Shower stall was about 30" x 30", which is dangerously small space to pick up a dropped bar of soap. 5) We were not allowed TO eat at the picnic table by the water. 6) Room was not cleaned when door hanger service-card was hung.

It was OK! Staff was friendly, but the Maid service was not always the best. No Breakfast, but a great view. Bed was OK! Not a lot for the [RICE, BUT i understand, all about Baseball!

Relaxing vacation at Hickory Grove Inn!
We so enjoyed our time at Hickory Grove Inn! Very friendly welcoming service! The room was very clean and charming. Bed was comfortable. The outside patio was so relaxing with a wonderful view of the lake. It was exactly what we needed. Such a relaxing atmosphere.

it was an ok hotel. We were out everyday. No food options around. microwave and refridg. in the room. smelled like cleaning solution. shower was very small, but towels were soft. No grounds to speak of never saw where the water area was.

I was doing the rail explorers ride in cooperstown on memorial day weekend. I was looking for a place to spend the night before the rail ride went on expedia and there weren't many options available at a reasonable price so I chose this. I must say it went well. This place is near the river. My room had the river view. It was very peaceful, clean and they were very friendly. My husband and I took a walk to the river it was great!!! One piece of advice while you're driving there if you find something to eat buy it and take it with you. It was kind of away from everything. I thank God we saw a little Ceasars pizza on our way and bought it.

Excellent, no frills economical stay within easy distance from Cooperstown attractions. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable accommodations with a great view of the lake and access to outdoor ambiance. Best towels of any hotel we've stayed, including four/five stars.

Was far from what was expected. Access to water was not convenient and the room was subpar. Paid for a 4.5 star and the motel was a 2 star at best. Overwhelming smell of pine sol and uncomfortable bed.

This was a modest little motel right along the road with the lake behind it. It was reminiscent of motels years ago with your car parked in front of your room; but it was clean and had all of the amenities that a much newer and more expensive motel would provide--TV, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toiletries, and hair dryer. Our window actually opened; and we could sleep with the cool night air.

It was a nice little older motel. Staff was friendly and made sure we were comfortable. Only thing was we had 3 rooms but they weren’t together, not sure if that happened due to not booking direct.
