Like a home away from home

Pros: Location, presentation, value for money.
Location: About 6km from Brisbane CBD, close to the Gabba Stadium, short drive or bus ride to QPAC, close to several eateries.
A very pleasant and comfortable B&B, Stu and the team made me feel very welcome. It's close to just about every amenity you could hope for and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

On arrival was greeted by Stu and he was very friendly and gave information about Kirkland House B & B and the facilities. The room was clean, warm and inviting. A very comfortable stay.

This was a good little B & B, close enough to the city, but far enough out to get the feel of the area. Stu, the owner was very nice and helpful in suggesting dining choices and helping with directions to places. The bed was very comfortable and the room we had was spacious. I would recommend this property to visitors to the area. It isn't really posh but better than the average motel by far. If I was in the area again, I would certainly consider Kirkland House.

An excellent city escape with easy access to city

Posted Jun 17, 2012
Pros: Traditional
Cons: Nothing
Location: Out of the city but with easy access to the centre
A lovely comfortable little gem. Arriving in the evening we were concerned that we were a long way from of the city. How wrong we're we to worry, the guest house is near to the bus centre and you are in the city within 15 mins on the bus that is just around the corner. A haven away from the city where you can relax and forget the city hubbub. Clean and friendly staff, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We will be back again soon. Thank you Stu

Good location, clean and modern bathroom however it really did feel like you were staying in the front bedroom of someone's house - because you are. The "continental breakfast" that is provided is toast and cereal... Although it wasn't a bad experience - I wouldn't stay there again.
