Lovely setting. Tired decor in the bedrooms.Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Setting and the people
Cons: Bedroom decor, food.
Location: Rent bikes, boat trip, sit in cafe
Great setting. Terrible breakfast: awful coffee. 'Fresh fruit' badly prepared, poor choice of buffet. Couldn't cope with the number of people at once. Very nice helpful people on the reception desk. Disappointing no view from the bedroom despite having booked an upgrade room.

Great historic hotel on the waterfront canalPosted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Location and character of the building
Cons: really nothing - it would have been great if it were less expensive and also if the room had a view of the harbor
Location: Canal tours, lots of restaurants, enjoyable walking area
One day in Copenhagen in advance of a cruise departure from the port. Excellent location - easy to get to by taxi from the airport. In the heart of the Nyhavn - a picturesque busy section of the city.

Pros: Ideal position for the city, although the rooms are small they are adequate.
Great weekend. Probably three days in the ideal length of time in the city.

Amazing hotel with friendly staff!Posted Apr 3, 2014
The hotel was beautiful in a fantastic location! The room was spacious clean and modern, I was fortunate enough to get a top floor room which has fantastic views over the Nyhavn River.

Comfortable 4 night stay stay in this stunning city.It felt the right amount of time to do justice to the main attractions, soak up the ambiance and visit friends. Walked everywhere and appreciated the fine architecture, open spaces, great cafés and quiet roads.

Nice hotel ideal location for City explorationPosted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Location, character.
Cons: Hotel is rated as 4* but there were no tea/coffee making facilities in our room which was disappointing.
Location: Harbour trips were good value, and plenty of restraints and bars nearby.
Hotel is in an ideal location for sightseeing, canal/harbour trips and underground. The transfer from the Airport by Metro is simplicity in it;s self and costs about £3 each way.

Not what I expected.Posted Jan 15, 2014
Pros: The location was on the docks in a touristy location.
Cons: The room size and cleanliness.
We expected more from our stay than we got. The rooms were very small, which I'm used to, but having said that they lacked comfort to make up for lack of space. The bed had a sponge one inch on it which was on top of the mattress and kept sliding off. The twin beds seemed extra narrow. The washroom was tiny one space unit, with an "inbuilt" shower system, that is, you shower with only a curtain around the shower head and the water drains all over the washroom floor. That's not very tidy or comfortable.

Not what we expected....Posted Jan 4, 2014
A friend recommended this hotel as being a very cool place to stay. The location was great....no problems there. The reception staff when we arrived were not very charming and obviously tired. It was New Years Dayso they were probably jaded from the busy period but still rather offputting to arrive to a lacklustre welcome. The restaurant and bar were closed that evening. We had no notice of this even though we were arriving late but were ok with that as planned to go out. A gentleman beside us was giving out loudly however that it was not a four star establishment if they closed bar/restaurant. We payed an extra 400 DKK at the receptionists recommendation for a 'better' room. We would not liked to have seen the standard room as this was not a very big room.... The room smelt stale and musty and there were no tea/coffee facilities. The shower pressure was weak although a good size bathroom. There was a worn patch of carpet outside the door and a dirty scuffed door opposite. Overall a dark, dingy hotel that did not live up to its reputation.

close to amenities and metro station.Posted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: Location - within good walking distance of main tourist attractions and metro station.
Cons: Tea/coffee making facilities in hotel rooms.
Location: Royal palaces, stock exchange and parliament, restaurants, bars and cafes, shops. Boat trips. Danish design museum and castle.
No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. The restaurant/bar was closed on new years' day so no hot drinks available (I checked with staff) although later that evening other guests were sat with tea/coffee so inconsistent staff instructions. Otherwise a good hotel, location wise and staff on the whole very friendly.
