Close to the central train station and also close to a few late night gentlemen clubs. There’s also a church come refugee shelter close by, but they kept themselves to themselves. Would defo stay there again if visiting Copenhagen

Get a copy of your bill before you leave.
Make sure your quest are aware that there is a fee for breakfast even if you just get a cup of coffee you pay full price. Also we have yet to get a copy of our bill that we requested in October 2019.

Perfect stay
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location in central Copenhagen. Beds were amazingly comfy, staff and service was excellent. Great selection for breakfast and the hotel bar was the perfect place for a nightcaps Definitely recommend this hotel.

I got what I paid for, which was a lovely suite with a small balcony and excellent tourist services. The staff was friendly, helpful truly and very professional.Also there were many unexpected luxuries like cookies and chocolates on every floor, ginger shots at breakfast and mood lighting in the bath.

Worst hotel
Firstly I made my reservation through Hotel.com over 6 months ago. I arrived From a long trip from US to check in on 10/8/2019 and I was told by the front desk that there was not room for me because the Hotel was FULL and they told me that they had to book another Hotel for me , But I didn’t hade to worry because they were providing me the Taxi and it was a nice location. I was in shocked and I couldn’t believe what was going on but also I was so tired with my wife that we let the situation go for the moment .. we were sent to a Cabinn Hotel , which we never thought It was real cabin .. even smaller than a cruise cabin . It’s unacceptable how can they book our reserved room to somebody else for higher price “of course “ then we were sent to a Cabin 2x2 pretty much I felt like in jail and it was terrible experience .. thank god it was only 2 days .. We never thought a situation like this could happen to us ... worst hotel , please stay away from this vulgar hotel

I loved the decor, the staff, and the breakfast! The location was great too...one block from the new subway station, very close to trains, busses, and Tivoli, and a manageable walk to many other tour attractions. I felt safe walking by myself at night although I do live in a city so maybe I’m more adventurous in that respect than most.

We stayed in a Superior room on the 5th floor with great views over the city towards the Carlsberg building. The reception staff were very friendly at all times and very helpful when we needed information about the city. In the few weeks before our visit they were even happy to help recommend restaurants in the area to make our stay easier. The room was lovely - a good size with a nicely appointed bathroom (colour-changing mood lights were a favourite!) and good facilities. The hot drinks machine was a novelty but we worked out how to use it after a couple of attempts. The selection of tea was amazing - I can't recommend Emeyu teas highly enough. They also left a small gift for us on arrival, a couple of samples of chocolate-covered liquorice which were lovely (although maybe not if you don't llike liquorice). The only slight bump in the otherwise perfect stay was the bed: it was actually two singles pushed together, made up as two single beds, with two single duvets. Not ideal for a honeymooning couple - it always seemed to be that I ended up down the gap! We got used to it though and it didn't impair the stay at all. The location was perfect for the rail station - if you are arriving in Copenhagen Central, exit the station at the rear (not the front entrance) and go down the steps or lift, cross over the street and go straight down Istedgade. The Absalon hotel sign is on the side of the building and the entrance is around the corner to the left.

We stayed at the hotel two days before Cruz, the hotel is great! The service and staff are very kind and courteous. Small but very nice and clean room. The breakfast is excellent. Great location.

Arrived early on a red eye from the states. The guy at the desk says 2:00 is check in and gives us a key for the luggage room. No effort to help us get in early. Come back in a couple of hours, the wife talks Joyce and she gets on the phone with housekeeping to move our room along. Joyce gets it done. In the middle of this I go back to the dude and he tells me "not ready, check-in is 2:00". We like to leave early to sightsee and come back to the room for a break. No help from housekeeping, they do the check-outs first. So we had no housekeeping for three nights because of this policy. No breakfast because we booked with Expedia. Okay. Good location, nice small room and bad cable options. We give em a three.

Beautiful inside and out. We had a gorgeously appointed corner room. Friendly, smiling, helpful staff. Enjoyed being able to rent a bike right on the property. Breakfast crowded and way overpriced. Convenient to Train station and Tivoli, but a bit out of the way for most other tourist sights.

Fine for a couple of nights.
Positives: Great service and very close to the central train station. Negatives: Hard to get a double bed (most rooms had two singles). The room was very small, so I could only open my suitcase on the bed. The first room we were given looked like it had hairs on the sheets, although the staff said that was from the mattress protector? Lots of noise from street outside. Neutral: No airconditioning. I actually appreciated that from an environmental perspective but would recommend bringing very good earplugs to stay here.

Nice hotel but terrible location.
This is a nicely decorated hotel with very helpful staff. The problem is the location. While conveniently located near the train station, we never took the train and it’s a HORRIBLE location near the Red Light district and drug addicts right around the corner. It’s a real shame that such a nice normal quaint hotel has such an awful location.
