hotel located near the train station, rooms and beds were extremely small even by European standards, good breakfast buffet, the hotels caters to medium size groups of students or teenagers (which can be noisy), staff was helpful and provided us with a room as soon as there was one available (early arrival).

“Great little family run hotel”

The Ansgar is a little gem very near the central station and Tivoli. Helpful staff, computer in lobby, reasonable and great breakfast. I would stay there again.

“Convenient bt with limits”

Ansgar Hotel near railroad station--easy access by walking altho dragging a carryon not the most convenient over cobblestone walks. Very near central city, tourist sites, shopping, transportation. Hotel proper is NOT w/c accessible, lots of stairs for getting bags to rooms altho there is an elevator not very convenient to room areas. No staff help for baggage assist. Morning buffet is quite good, lots of choice, clean and well served. Desk help was efficient, had good knowledge of area and how to negotiate through to areas of interest. Brochures, etc., kept up to date. People using hotel seem to be routine adult customers plus hotel is child friendly. Nice outside terrace at the back for relaxing, eating. No other food service than morning buffet Housekeeping standards good, rooms clean, linens changed daily . Free internet access. We would stay there again only if we had only light luggage. Stay was June 21-28

“Don't miss the breakfast”

Ansgar Hotel is a well run establishment located conveniently within a couple of blocks from the Central Train Station. This is important because taxi fees can be quite expensive in this city. We were able to transport a family of 7 from the Copenhagen Airport via the train that leaves from within the airport terminal to he central train station for only 180 kroners. The rooms were quaint and clean. My only area of dissatisfaction is the lack of a dam to keep the water from the shower from flooding the rest of the carpeted studio hotel room. This forced us to take very very quick showers. We appreciated the free wifi in the hotel. They have a single computer that guests can use free of charge as well. But the highlight of our short stay was the splendid breakfast spread that is offered for guest. Great coffee and juice selections. Fresh baked bread that you slice yourself that accompanies a choice of several cold meats and cheeses. Fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal selections are available too for you to enjoy in a well appointed and roomy cafe style or open patio setting. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I visit Copenhagen in the future.

“Pleasant stay.”

Overall we were very satisfied with this hotel. It's extremely convenient to the train station and walkable to most sights. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that seems to be the norm in Scandinavia. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly and helpful. There is someone at the front desk 24hrs to answer questions. Breakfast was included. Very pleased with hotel given that it was on the less expensive side in comparison to other hotels in city.

“Good Location”

While the room was small even for Europe's standards, it was clean and adequate for an overnight stay. Strangely, the elevator opened on the half floor so you had to drag your luggage up 11 steps to get the elevator and if your room was on the 4th floor, you would have to get off the 5th floor and walk down 6 steps to reach the 4th floor. The location was very good with Tivoli, major train station and museums within a few blocks. The breakfast was great and included in the price of the room which made it very reasonable.

“Great Hotel!”

The hotel was conveniently located. The room was quiet and clean and the bed was very comfortable, black out shades on the windows, heated bathroom floors. Wonderful breakfast, very helpful staff. After our experience in London, this hotel was a welcome and much appreciated surprise!

“I Love Copenhagen!”

Room was tiny even by European standards. Great location, great breakfast and great staff. Very friendly. Would definitely recommend, just be prepared for a small room and bathroom.

Convenientaly located within a few blocks of central train station and Tivoli Gardens ( a must see). Hotel was adequate and typical of a European boutique type hotel. Restaurants and shopping located within walking distance. Breakfast was included, coffee, bread, sweet rolls, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, and fruit.
