Good location.

Pros: Location with access to the main train station, the Tivoli and Town Hall.
The bedroom was small though the rest of the apartment was quite spacious.

This hotel is well located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We experienced no problems with excess noise. Note that upon departure, the hotel has a special flat rate deal with one taxi company.

The affordable way to do Copenhagen!

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Great location. Fast wireless (~£2.70 per 24 hours, per device). Huge and comfortable sofa bed in the apartment.
Cons: A toaster in the kitchen would be a real help. Clear advice to get the power going in the room would be good as well!
Location: Location is fabulous. All major City attractions are within walking distance. Transportation links are great. 2 mins from Tivoli.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience at Ascot Apartments. Copenhagen is an eye-wateringly expensive place to visit, and most of that expense is in eating out. Ascot Apartments give the opportunity to do affordable self catering in a fantastic location, right by Tivoli and Central Station. There's a Netto at the end of the street to get your stuff in (though check your change carefully - I got short changed by 100Kr - just over a tenner). The apartment was spacious, with a generous entrance hall and sitting room, good sized bathroom and tiny bedroom and kitchen. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave and ceramic hob but surprisingly no oven or toaster, so frozen pizza is out! The sofa bed is huge, and two couples is entirely practical. My apartment was on the fifth floor, and the lift was a tiny 3 person one which was very temperamental. It kept me fit. We went for the hotel breakfast which was plentiful and good quality, though a little limited on hot items if that's your preference. If you like a big breakfast then it's worth going for, but if you prefer a lighter breakfast you're probably better sorting yourself out. The staff were helpful and spoke excellent English, as does the whole city. There is a luggage room for holding your bags if required. Be sure you preorder your Copenhagen cards and collect them at the airport. Public transport is dead easy from the airport station and the card offers fantastic value. If I return to Copenhagen I'd book again.

Great location in central Copenhagen.

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Great location and helpful staff
Cons: Mini fridge did not work and we could not lower a blind so the light woke us up in the morning.
Location: Tivilo Gardens, restaurants and Hop on Hop off tour nearby. Town Hall and pedestrian walk very close.
One bedroom. It was very hot and room did not have A/C. Hot during the day but cooler at night.

noisy apartment

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The breakfasts are good.
Cons: the street noise is unbearable.
Location: You can walk to the train station only 3 blocks. Tivoli 2 blocks and the most famous of the city pedestrian street 4 blocks.
We had a lot of street noise.( aparment outside of the hotel) Does not have free internet in the rooms. But the worst part of this hotel is the lack of air condition. It's a nightmare in summer. Bad smell, badly damaged shutters, and street noise that is unbearable at nights. There is a large illuminated sign in the building in front of the room that will not let you sleep well and heat in summer is too high as the sun heats the room to uncomfortable levels.

Great central location

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: All the staff were welcoming and efficient.
Cons: Our only gripes were that the sofa bed was uncomfortable (we stayed 5 nights) and wifi was limited.
Location: Check out the Carlsberg Glyptotek (free entrance on a Sunday), the Harbour Pool, and Louisiana Art Gallery (frequent trains from the Central Station).
The apartment was a great base for an active family holiday - situated only a few minutes walk from many sights, and close to shops, cafés, galleries, and museums. We had a great view over the Copenhagen skyline.

Great location, OK but noisy room

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, but quite dated and not necessarily dusted regularly. There is no air conditioning so summer may be uncomfortable. Rooms facing the street are very loud, so use the earplugs provided! That said, I would stay again given the central location and easy access to all transit.

Wonderful hotel, close to Central Railway Station

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The apartment was charming, the bed comfortable, and the view from our window was enjoyable.
Cons: There was nothing that we needed to be improved.
Location: Many, many cafes and restaurants are nearby. Two blocks away we picked up a sightseeing bus and had a great time touring around the city on that.
My wife and I stayed in the apartment side of the hotel for 6 nights. It was wonderful. The location of the hotel is about 3 blocks from Central Station, so we took the train from the airport. The walk from Central Station to the hotel was about 6 minutes. (Of course, you need a good map to know which way to go as you leave the station.) The staff at the reception desk were always very friendly and helpful. We never saw our room cleaner, but we always came back to a clean room. Since eating out in Copenhagen is about twice as expensive as eating out in our home town of Seattle, it was nice to be able to eat in our apartment most of the time. We found 3 different grocery stores within 1 or 2 blocks of the hotel. The most well-stocked one was called Rema 1000 or something like that. If we ever go to Copenhagen again, I will stay at the Ascot again.

Ascot Apartments

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: That it was an apartment not a hotel room.
Location: The station is easy to access and the tourist information centre is also close.
I really can't comment on the hotel as we only used it to check in/out. However the apartment was excellent. It had plenty of room for two people. A bonus was the separate toilet and a sort of walk-in wardrobe off the bedroom. Very comfortable for a short stay. Situated in a handy spot, not far from the station.
