Lovely hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Location: Would recommend a visit to Tivoli Gardens, Rosenberg Slot and Copenhagen Zoo. Lots of nice areas to walk along the harbour.
Very clean, modern hotel within walking distance of centre of Copenhagen. Excellent breakfast. Very easy to get to by metro from the airport.

Pros: the friendly atmosphere, cosy lounge on a cold day and quite location
Cons: size of the lift
Location: good restaurants nearby otherwise have to walk to town hotel will loan you a bicycle if you are energetic
first time in copenhagen - hotel had lovley continental feel to it, only a short 10 minute stroll to center of town - lovley cosy lounge to relax in with very good local restaurants only a couple of minutes stroll excellent food at half the price of the restaurants in the high tourist areas.

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Communication and entertainment systems are really bad
Location: Good location
High cost, little value - Not happy with in room features. Load street noise and hallway.

Pros: Pros: good location, good public transport close, nice breakfast provided, clean hotel with charm. Cons: very small room, noisy street traffic
Cons: Needs to install AC. Also worst TV/Movie/internet provided (I should say not provided as it was unusable)
Just stayed at this hotel pre and post our Baltic cruise. Had we not prepaid for our room, we would not have returned after our first experience. Got so tried of hearing the staff say "I'm sorry" Lets face it, these are only words....the key is for the hotel to fix the ongoing problems, so their staff don't have to keep saying it. ,

Excellent choice, nice location

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was comfortable and nicely sized. The bathroom was the largest of the three bathrooms we had in Scandinavia. The hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. This hotel isn't exactly in the center of town, but it's a 10-15 minute walk. I would stay here again.

Potential charm not realized

Posted May 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The building has real charm, but the problems detract. Pile of dog doo 20 feet from front door was never removed in 4 nights we were there. Outside deck areaa little run down, and some small pillows are needed for those who don't want to recline on the large couches. The staff are all helpful and pleasant, though they sometimes don't carry through. In our case they said they would send someone to fix our phone but never did. Also never did fix safe door. Great bar, great breakfast.Overall, though I really liked the place, I would probably look for something else before staying there again.

The Avenue Hotel was a wonderful surprise. Would recommend without reservation and will plan to stay again soon. The hotel has great rooms and wonderful amenities including a superb breakfast, a bar and a peaceful courtyard with great sitting. Most of all the staff was very efficient and friendly.

A nice hotel in a great location

This nice little hotel has a great position near the Forum metro and piles of eateries in norrebro. Beautiful rooms and complimentary minibar! Breakfast is good by Scandanavian standards, which means breads and cereals without a hot selection. I'd stay there again if going to Copenhagen.

3 Days in Copenhagen

Just a short visit too the city. We arrived early (10 am) from a cruise and were told our room wouldn't be available until 3. We were given coffee and then decided to walk around the area and went to the nearby food center for a taste of local delicacies. We returned to a modest but comfortable room.Best parts of the hotel are the Lobby/bar/lounge area with comfortable couches and fireplace. The staff are exceedingly helpful with a fantastic knowledge of the area. Not to be missed is the fabulous European breakfast (complimentary)
