Excellent location, very good hotel.Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Clean and a superb location
Cons: New matresses. Breakfast more organised with plenty of cups and jugs for milk.
Location: Nyhavn - Ideal for a lazy breakfast, lunch or supper. Harbour cruise - very interesting/enjoyable. Rosenborg Castle - beautiful. Stroget - shopping!
Staff on the counter very welcoming and polite. Room very nice, spacious and very clean. Mattress could do with renewing as it dipped in the middle giving us some back discomfort - but otherwise very good indeed. Arrived for breakfast half hour before close, and there were no drinking cups or jugs for milk. Nearly all the tables were already taken, so best to be more prompt in arriving well before close. Location is just super. An easy walk from the metro with our bags, and an even easier walk to Nyhavn for coffee/lunch/supper. Just the most lovely harbour. The harbour cruise was well worth doing, but the Hop on Hop off bus was delayed in arriving at our stop by 40 minutes, and then stopped for 10 minutes at the Little Mermaid and also another 20 minute stop near Tivoli, which was a little irritating in terms of time lost. Stroget was super for shopping, and Rosenborg Castle absolutely beautiful. A very relaxing city break. Would definitely recommend the city.

Nice hotel, perfect for visiting main attractionsPosted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Location. Breakfast very good.
Cons: The mattress was too soft, as were the pillows. Had to move mattress to floor to be able to sleep. This might suit others, of course.
Location: Visit Nyvahn, 15 minutes walk to both the Little Mermaid and Tivoli. Stroget, Nyvahn and parliament five minutes away.
Hotel was very good. Check-in and check-out very good.

Good location within easy walking distance of townPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: The location, the good staff, the calming and nostalgic atmosphere. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice and again good staff.
Cons: Nothing the whole experience was excellent.
Location: Close to the town centre area and the canals, canal tour, walking to most visitor attractions, be aware that a lot of attractions close on Monday.
Very easy and quick to book with Expedia both the flight and hotel. The hotel staff were excellent, polite and efficient.

Friendly place not far from Nyhavn and StrogetPosted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Friendly atmosphere, convenient 24/7 bar/cafe next to reception (albeit expensive, but that's Copenhagen!), good breakfast buffet, the location.
Cons: Had to ask for kettle, coffee etc. They said only superior rooms get this, but relented and gave us one. We feel these facilities should be standard.
Location: Few minutes' walk to The Standard (restaurant, jazz club), Nyhavn with cafes/restaurants, Maison du Nord (like Harrod's), Stroget pedestrian area.
We found the hotel easily, 5 mins' walk after arriving at Kongens Nytorv metro station (straight from the airport - 24 DKK each). We were given a friendly welcome and found the 3rd-floor room pleasant, clean smelling, light, and comfortable. As it looked onto the central courtyard of the hotel it was blissfully quiet. The room had a utilitarian (but OK) desk, and two relatively comfortable, modern chairs. Being a musician myself, I was blown away by the back wall mural of Niels Henning Oersted, my favourite jazz bass player. The bed and duvets were comfortable, and the room was cool enough to sleep well after we discovered you can turn off the underfloor heating in the bathroom (just at the door on the left, underneath the washhand basin). The shower was fine, but would have been cramped for a big person (we're both small). There's a small convenience store on the same street as the hotel, where we bought milk, chocolate, mineral water, etc. It's not open late in the evenings.

Convenient and comfortablePosted Mar 21, 2014
Cons: Firmer mattresses
Location: Excellent location. Enjoyed the Standard restaurant and Jazz club round the corner from the hotel.
The hotel was well located for walking the city and for access to the Metro and from there to the airport. The room was comfortable ,clean and very quiet. The windows could be opened and a kettle with tea bags and coffee plus fresh milk could be asked for. The mattresses on our king size bed with 2 separate duvets were rather soft so may not suit some. The breakfast was good with buffet choice of juice, fresh fruit, muesli , cooked eggs and bacon, cheeses, cold meats, rolls and pastries plus coffee and tea. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful.

Copenhagen and MalmoPosted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Near town centre, helpful staff, fabulous breakfast!!
Cons: More choice if double bed as opposed to two singles.
Location: City centre- near to all main sites and shops. Recommended!
If you haven't visited Copenhagen, you should. Fab sites, restaurants and cafés, people! Trip to Malmo was fun- cross the Oresund Bridge in the train!! First visit to Scandinavia and it won't be the last!
