“The Best Little Hotel In Nyhavn”
This was out third stay at Hotel Neptune. Our first stay was about 20 years ago and I had good memories of the hotel, staff and location so I decided to try it again. Turns out it was a great decision. This quaint little Hotel just keeps getting better and better. If you want to stay in Nyhavn, the location can't be beat. It is walking distance to countless great restaurants and shops. The staff is accommodating and they make every effort to make your stay a great experience. The hotel itself is housed in one of the old Nyhavn buildings where they have done a great job integrating the old structure with modern amenities. There are several lounges where you can enjoy the complementary breakfast, afternoon coffee and dinner. There is even a beautiful roof top terrace. The rooms are small, but well designed and offer everything you might need during your stay.
“Filthy crowded noisy breakfast”
Breakfast was a dreadful experience. Tables with dirty crockery and not wiped clean. Dirty cutlery. Mess everywhere. No trash to clear mess into. Service personnel stressed busy and unfriendly. Needed at least one more person to keep on top of things. In contrast to fruit at dinner which was fresh and nice for breakfast only offering was a dubious looking fruit salad. Breakfast in Denmark is usually a highlight of my visit. This was such a disappointment. No reply or phone call despite completing their comment card and asking for follow up. Bedroom cramped - double bed against two walls so tricky to get up in the night.
“Not on weekends”
Thursday dinner ok as was Fridays Sat and sunday a waste. asked german tourist what it was on sunday he said PIG and that is exactly my impression it wasa slop' with creamed pot from sat night.
“Hotel Neptun”
Nyhavn area was lovely, close to major sites and had lots of entertainment venues close by, as well as the major shopping district within a few blocks. It was a great location.
“Copenhagen's jewel”
The hotel was a comfortable 20 minute drive from the airport by taxi. Its location is a huge asset, within walking distance to all attractions and sightseeing places. We didn't even need a car and kept ourselves busy for 5 full days. The hotel amenities were wonderful and compared to other hotels, seemed like a great deal within its price range, service and location. We saved tons of money on outside restaurant expenses, as breakfast and dinner were included in the fare, and abundantly rich and satisfying. I will definitely be a return customer.
