Fair to good.

Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Unusual room decor
Location: Very good
I am overall fairly satisfied. Breakfast was great but the room was just OK. What made my room barely OK was a huge original wooden beam halfway between my bed and the bathroom. Every time I went from one to the next I had to carefully lower my head or risk a concussion. This appeared to be left from the original historical construction but was a serious nuisance non the less. The hotel probably considered it a decor.

2 nights there wife my wife and two kids. Awesome location right next to the royal palace. old historic building with lots of charm great outdoor bar (if the weather is good). The bathroom is small for four people, we had a family room and it was a little bit tight for the price. would differently come back again.

Great Location, Beautiful Old Building
Posted Jan 21, 2013
Pros: The location, the wood and brick - beautiful historical building.
The location and the structure of the hotel are nearly perfect. Right on the water, I had views of tall boats and the Opera House just outside my window. I love the brick and wood beams. Only issue is some of the materials chosen for the renovation were somewhat odd, so definitely not a 5 star hotel. But one of the best 4 stars I've seen. I also like the wood beams in the room, but you have to watch your head if you get up in the night! Staff was very helpful, and loved the fact they rent bikes by the day. Perfect way to see Copenhagen.

For a big hotel, the customer service is still personal and there is a positive atmosphere about the place.

Great Copenhagen hotel
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Pros: the great staff
Location: right on the waterfront which runs along the canal
Very friendly staff, very helpful and willing to go out of their way to help. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. Style of hotel is unconventional as it is built in a historic granary complete with the foot square beams for holding up the ceiling but looks great.

Super hotel, great location, a few niggles
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Super location (especially if you ask for a room overlooking the water) between Amelienborg and Nyhaven, dramatic wooden beams etc. It was a lovely place to be and we had a super breakfast in our room over looking the harbour. Staff were very friendly with lots of suggestions. Overall we loved the hotel and we would go back. But on the other hand, rooms were quite small and for some reason doubles are all two single beds pushed together with two single duvets (!), they forgot to give us hypoallergenic bedding, although did as soon as they were prompted, and they totally messed up our bill when we were leaving over charging us by about £60 ( other people had charged breakfasts to our room) and they hadnt given us a chance to check the bill line by line before we paid. they sorted it out fine but just shame for that to be the last note. Oh and they are building in front of the hotel right now, though not at all at the weekend, they started at 7am on the Monday morning

good long weekend break hotel.

Pros: location
Cons: breakfast overpriced
Location: on the harbour- and easy access to the city.
A very good quality hotel. It is near the old harbour and palaces. Very easy to get around the city. A good hotel if you are doing a cruise and you need a night before or after the cruise.
