Charming but expensivePosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The countryside is very nice and there were lots of horses around. The village of Dragor is very nice.
Cons: They need better pillows. Maybe a law to tell the shooters not to start until 7:00 AM?
Location: If you don't have a vehicle be prepared to walk about 1 KM for the nearest bus stop, bur from there you can be in downtown Copenhagen in about 25 min.
This was a charming B&B in the country, but I have a comments. Most B&B include the price of breakfast in the room this one does not, they do tell you this in the lower print when you book but I failed to notice that. I thought it was to high a price to pay for the charm of this place. It was charming to hear the airplanes taking off just behind the farm, and I guess August 1 is the gun day in Denmark because at 5:00 AM the shooters came out to start shooting pigeons in the country, there's nothing quite like waking up to gunfire, very charming. Of course these are not the hosts fault they were fine people. I just feel it is to high a price to pay for a room with shared bath and lousy pillows.

Change of PacePosted Jun 12, 2014
What a nice change of pace from your standard hotel. I spent one night at cottage farm waiting for my friends to arrive from US. Called to get directions on using bus, very simple, less than 10 minutes from airport. Walk from bus stop is about 10 minutes on fully paved country road, views were pleasing. Very friendly and helpful folks, even let me use bike to pedal to marina for dinner. Rooms were clean and well furnished. Great place for one night stay.

Not the HiltonPosted Jun 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Not the Hilton -but just what we were looking for. This is a very comfortable B&B in a converted farmhouse run by a very pleasant couple from the right part of England –northerners – very welcoming and hospitable. If you’re looking for a modern fancy so called “5 star” hotel run by drones don’t come here. However if you’ve had enough of the city and want to relax in a warm friendly atmosphere this is the place for you. It met all our expectations and was very reasonably priced with easy access to both the city and the airport. Hopefully I’ll be back

Gem of a place close to airport and VillagePosted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of staff, quite location
Location: The local village of Dragor has bistros and restaurants for an evening meal
This quiet backwater was ideal for a quiet evening before an early flight. Only 10 mins from the airport and a short bike ride from the picturesque village of Dragor (bike loaded from the hotel)

'B&B' rates need analysis!Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Historic charm
Cons: Info on breakfast charges must be available in advance
Location: Location is close to airport, but the rural walking distance to restaurants for dinner will not suit all ages, situations
It was a surprise for us that in spite of Cottage Farm calling itself a B&B, breakfast was an extra pp charge on exit.

Quaint B&B near charming villagePosted May 11, 2014
Pros: The charm of rural Denmark is evident in the architecture and setting.
Cons: I considered this a Bed and Breakfast but breakfast was an extra charge. Instant coffee was provided in our room but real coffee would have been good
Location: Cottage Farm is on a country road (no sidewalks) and is very quiet despite backing up to the airport. Don't miss going in to the village of Dragor.
Cottage Farm is a picturesque thatched roof dwelling not far from the village of Dragor. Our room was in a wing of converted horse stables across a cobbled courtyard from the main house. The room was clean and comfortable with a spacious private bath. The location is best reached by taxi as the nearest bus stop is easy enough to reach but if you are lugging suitcases you will find it difficult as there are no sidewalks here. It is a healthy walk into the seaside village of Dragor which boasts an active harbor, historic homes and charming shops and restaurants. Take your camera.

A Very Short VisitPosted Apr 22, 2014
While Cottage Farm practically borders on the airport runway, it feels very rural and rustic, as well as extremely quiet. The facilities are modern and spacious. We arrived at about 4 PM, and found a lovely note on the office door welcoming us, informing us that we had been upgraded, and saying that our hosts had gone to visit their grandkids, and would be back soon. We went to bed early, as we had an early morning flight, and so unfortunately were unable to meet our hosts - who had not yet returned - nor to request the hair dryer that we would have liked to have had. All in all, the apartment was lovely and the area was beautiful. Hopefully, we will be able to visit for a longer time in the future.
