“Smalles room I've ever stayed in”
The hotel would be OK if not for a size of the room and the dining facilities. First, to get into your room you would have to go outside and cross the yard with the permanet construction and storage of the outdoor furnoture from the br next door. The room is the size of an everage bathroom, has very little in it. The breackfast finishes at 9:30. There is not enough room so you find yourself looking for a place to seat and then something to eat because the staff takes away food (or whatever left of it) starting from 9 am. I would expect more from a 4-star hotel. I wouldn't rate it more than 2.5-3 stars. Location is great and the hotel is clean. If I went back there that would be just for the location. The other 4 and 5 star hotels in Copenhagen are either outside the downtown area or way too expensive for what they have to offer.
“Great Location, mediocre meals”
If you are on a tight budget in Cop'n then this is a good place to stay. Walk to train, Tivoli, Rathhaus etc.
“Copenhagen for the Weekend”
We stayed here three nights after staying 6 nights at a more expensive hotel in a different part of Copenhagen. Loved the included breakfast and dinner availability, great option and great quality though the charge for water is a bit weird for dinner. Dining staff always welcoming and helpful. Front desk staff always seemed a bit overwehelmed but gracious. Rooms are cruise ship room size but accomodating for the location. Yes, be prepared for the street noise and Town Hall clock gonging until midnight (you get to sleep to 8 am before it starts up again). But all in all a pleasant hotel to stay for a short time.
“great central location”
The rooms were great, complimentary meals were good for the most part.
“Great food”
Great location, wonderful to have breakfast and dinner included.
“Great place to stay in Copenhagen”
The location was great and the hotel staff very helpful with info about the area. The free breakfast & dinner buffet was a real added bonus (and the food was good) since eating out is very expensive in the city.Rooms are alittle small but comfortable. The Ice Bar is there too. We liked having the wine bar that was self serving. The front desk people were wonderful and very helpful. Would stay there again.
“Great Location with great breakfask and OK dinner buffet”
Pleasantly surprised with what a good hotel it was, for moderate price, in great location, with wonderful breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet while not inspired, was adequate and appreciated given the prices in CPH.
“Unparelleled Service, Great Location and Food”
Location, Location, Location! Plus the service was outstanding. Helpful friendly staff, never too busy to help with pleasure. The breakfast and dinner buffet were delicious and plentiful! If you want air conditioning request a room on the 5th floor. Rooms were clean and comforable. Would stay again!
“Great room, great price”
We had a great stay at the Island. Upgrade to harbor view with balcony was a huge bonus. Breakfast was great. Location not ideal, but worth the price if you don't mind a short walk or bike ride. I would recommend this to a friend and i would not hesitate to return.
“The best place ever!”
I normally don't take time to write a review but I have to say this hotel was amazing! very close to all place you want to be in Copenhagen, breakfast and dinner buffet were very pleasing, staff is helpful and polite- wonderful! Would definitely come back again!
