It is always comfy at Gentofte Hotel. A bit pricy but it is Copenhagen. Public transport to Gentofte is OK once uou know how. Rooms are warm and comfortable. Very clean. Seevice is good but it needs a bar. Not much to do nearby.

Good hotel for short stayPosted Aug 17, 2013
Having booked 3 rooms and we asked for extended check out of just one of the three for an extra hr. this was flatly refused in a not very hospitable manner. other than that - a pleasant experience

Conveniently located if you come by car.Posted Jun 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is OK. Rooms are not quite as small as other European hotels. If you come by car, you can reach the inner city in 15 minutes. Parking is free, but the amount of spaces are limited. We will definately go back to Gentofte Hotel at our next stay in Copenhagen. Friendly and helpful staff.

A excellent choice vs. city centrePosted Jun 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
A great hotel an easy walk from the station. The town is quaint and the lake is ideal for walks or a short run. Easy access to downtown Copenhagen (short train ride) makes this a great place to stay at an excellent price compared to city centre.

Oasis of quietPosted Jun 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location rather than being a drawback was a loverly retreat from the bustle of the tourist spots.A walk around the lake is a must.Great pizza place near the supermarket down the hill'

Hotel staff and services were very nice and very accommodating. Location was convenient, but room was very small, not comfortable for 2 people and poorly maintained.

Great ValuePosted May 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Enjoyed 2 nights here. A stay at a similar hotel in the centre would have cost almost double. Yet its only a short train journey away on an excellent frequent service, even at the weekend. Great in every aspect.

Fine as usualPosted May 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've stayed at Gentofte Hotel a number of times over the last eight years and always find the place to be pleasant and convenient for my needs. This time was no exception. It's clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is very nice. Parking is immediately behind the hotel or up the street, bus stop right outside the door, and a 5-10 minute walk to the train, from where one can reach downtown Copenhagen in 15 minutes. Beautiful Gentofte Lake is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and is definitely worth a look. The hotel is located on a main street in Gentofte with many local stores as well as a bank, supermarkets, a movie theater. A few fast-food places are within easy walking distance.

Pros: Price, location for Northern Copenhagen
Cons: Tiny rooms
Gentoft Hotel is a practical bolt-hole for anyone needing to be around Northern Copenhagen. It's practical rather than luxurious. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny but if you are not planning on spending much time there it's good value for money. This is not a hotel for those wishing to be within walking distance of the city centre.
