Fantastic roomPosted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Our room which was stylish and also peaceful thanks to superb double glazing despite overlooking a busy street.
Location: Easy walk from station and near enough to all the key sights. Had excellent meals at Ma Ven and also Brew Pub (near hotel).
We had a great stay at this hotel and had a large corner room which we loved (full of Arne Jacobsen furniture style classics if you like that type of thing). Very friendly staff, decent breakfasts, excellent location that was near enough to city centre and also an easy walk from the main station. We really enjoy visiting Copenhagen and would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Lovely hotel in excellent central location, with very friendly and helpful staff. Public areas and bedroom are inviting and comfortable and are a great example of the famous Danish hygge or cosiness.

Best breakfast ever!Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness. Modern bathroom. Friendliness of staff. Breakfast. Relatively small. Interesting décor.
Cons: Free Wi-Fi.
Location: Located on quiet end of main street. Could walk to downtown shopping, museums, and restaurants. Award winning Thai restaurants a couple doors away.
Staff was very friendly and exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Arrived late - middle of night - and were welcomed. Helped with transportation issues. The breakfast was wonderful - enough food that we made ourselves a lunch! Very personal service.

Simple but good!Posted May 20, 2015
Don't expect anything extravagant - the rooms are furnished sparsely but you have everything you need for a good nights sleep. At first we were not that happy to see that it was right on a big boulevard and expected it to be very noisy but we were pleasantly surprised and very happy with the location: 5 minute walk and you're in the pedestrian zone with all the shops - 5 minutes the other way and you're at the Tivoli.....and then the train station. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Did the hop-on hop-off bus but think that the city isn't that big for it to be worthwhile, you can do a lot by foot and then of course by bike, which the hotel rents. Definitely recommend a canal/boat tour and of course Nyhavn Street for it's outdoor restos and cafes.

Nice hotel close to city.Posted May 19, 2015
Hotel Alexandra is a very nice hotel in a central locality within walking distance to many amenities and tourist interests. Also nearby are many restaurants/cafes etc. I found the staff extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Although our room was on the street frontage and a busy road we found it to be quiet which was great. Would recommend to other people.

Dormitory roomPosted May 11, 2015
Cons: At least double beds.
Location: Main town Square. Shopping etc.
Location was excellent. Very clean. Staff great. Room smaller than a dormitory room with two 36 inch beds, approximately three feet apart. No airconditioning, which wasn't a problem the days there.

Copenhagen everything is so nearPosted May 3, 2015
Pros: We picked the hotel Alexandra because of it's classic Danish design. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we would happily return there.
Location: The Alexandra is very close to the central station, Tivoli, cinemas, the main shopping street and a short walk to many sites.
This was our first visit to Copenhagen and we were not disappointed. It's a lovely small historic city with everything in walking distance. Just take comfortable walking shoes and get exploring, there's something around ever corner.

Ok for price.Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Good value.
Cons: Room facilities.
Location: Loads, dead central, Tivoli good, boat trip round canals excellent, and the Danish museum very interesting and free!!
Good value for Copenhagen. Service friendly, no issues really. Room not hugely comfortable and no wardrobe or draws at all which would be annoying if you stayed for say a week and wanted to unpack. But for a night or two it's ok.
