“Liked the location”
Location worked well for us - convenient to harbor and Stroget. Room was very comfortable, although I might recommend a room at the back as we did get traffic noise in early morning. Good breakfast, although a little pricey and the room filled up quickly. Still pleasing overall.
“Good location and value for a short stay”
We stayed there twice for a total of 4 days in August 2011. Great location 5 min walk from Metro station direct from Airport. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere. Many restaurants close by. Copenhagen is expensive so for the price we were satisfied Traveler from Vancouver, Canada
“Good value”
Excellent quiet location next to metro to airport, waterfront district, and sights within walking distance. Friendly service, quiet rooms in small older hotel. Good breakfast.
“Excellent Location”
I was a bit concerned about the hotel after reading some of the reviews but it was absolutely fine. The twin beds were quite small and the room was small but we spent very little time in the hotel anyway. It is furnished with old furniture but that gives it character. The location was fantastic and in our opinion was in a great area for bars, shopping and sightseeing.
“True old world charm”
A charming hotel with old world feel in a wonderful location. And, although it's not five star, I didn't feel I was sacrificing anything for that old world feel, which is often the case.
“good way to start a day in Copenhagen”
The Opera is loacated in a fantastic area where local attractions are within easy walking distance. The breakfast bar is good for the price. Overall it's a good hotel for anyone to start their day in Copenhagen.
“Convenient location. Small rooms.”
Stayed twice last month. Hotel is located on quiet street just off Kongens Nytorv about 5 minutes from the Metro. Public areas on main floor are quite "homey." We stayed in the less expensive rooms, which were really small. Except for bathroom, room furnishings could all use an update. Breakfast buffet was about USD $20, but there are places in the area for coffee, bagels, etc. We would stay at the Opera again. It's drawbacks were more than overshadowed by it's location and the friendly feel of the place.
“Nice small hotel”
Front desk staffs are friendly and helpful. Copenhagen's metro system is a bit confusing. Hotel staff explained us how to calculate fares between zones. The breakfast selection is little limited compared with other hotels we stayed in Roskilde and Aarhus, Denmark. But there are cold meat, several different cheese, several different bread and of course sereval different Danish. The only problem we had is a shower. Shower is not separated from the rest of the bathroom. No raised rail or nothing. Just a shower curtain. After taking shower, we had to dry the bathroom floor. But, other than that, we had a wonderful stay.
“It was a quiet, generally clean, efficiently run little hotel.”
it was very much as previously stated. small side street off major intersection and a block from the metro station, bus stop and famous pedestrian walk, Stroget St. The hotel itself is a bit dark and tired, but the staff helpful and efficient. The room was small but that is what I expected,no view from my window but i spent most of my awake hours/daytime outside not in my room.
“Convenient Location”
A comfortable (older) hotel, at a comparatively reasonable price, courteous staff and closely situated to the Metro, shopping and Nyhavn.
