Great location; quiet, comfortable room.Posted Jul 9, 2014
Nice hotel very near Nyhavn and the waterfront. Close to the metro for airport connections. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the water pressure in the shower all that it should be.

To check in before 3 :00 pm event with room ready they asked for $20 more. The window is west facing and very hot.

Cute hotel with great staff and amazing breakfastPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: The breakfast was the best in Copenhagen. The coffee is fantastic and the spread was amazing.
Cons: I felt as though the room was a little pricey for its size; however, in comparison to similar places, it was in line with the area.
Location: Lots of shopping and dining close to the hotel. There is also a metro stop about 3 blocks away, which made getting around very convenient.
I found this hotel to be a great little place in Copenhagen's center city. It is close to shopping, dining and the harbor. The rooms are a little cramped and the bathroom is quite tiny, but if you're like me, you only stay in your room long enough to sleep and shower. The real treat is the breakfast. The coffee was the best I had during my entire time in Europe, including the many cafes, and the food was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and made my stay very pleasant indeed.

Friendly relaxed hotelPosted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Quiet, friendly, relaxed. Lot of different nationalities stay there.
Cons: Kettle in room or facility to make tea/coffee
Location: Opposite Magasin du Nord and the other side is the attractive bar and cafe area of Kongens Nyhavn next to the water. Easy walking to most central area
Very friendly reception staff who are very helpful and made our stay a pleasant one. Have used hotel before and find it generally quiet, situated in a back street behind the Opera House. Breakfast, which is extra, is very comprehensive and filling including pastries, meat, cheese and fruit as well as the usual cereals and bread.

Simple Hotel in a Great LocationPosted Jan 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The room was small but it was clean and was just fine for sleeping. Hotel is also right in the middle of the city but you don't have all the noise from the central area to wake you up after a long night in the city!

Great location, room not so muchPosted Dec 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location outweighs the very small room, dim lighting. In a very expensive city, it's a decent choice, clean. But I am glad I stayed there on my own, because two people would not have had enough space to turn around in this "Superior Single Room."

Good value but datedPosted Dec 13, 2013
I chose this hotel largely for its location close to a meeting I was having and because it was much cheaper than most others in Copenhagen. It was pretty much what I expected - perfectly clean and no major problems, with at least some very friendly and helpful staff (others less so) but the place is clearly very old-fashioned and a bit run down. It is definitely not a '5 star' experience, but actually quite quaint (eg with a little 'snug' where you can have a drink and a feeling of times gone by)

Best locationPosted Dec 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed the Hotel Opera - clearly the best feature of the hotel is the location as it is in close walking distance to the canal and all the shopping and restaurants. It is also a short walk to the metro, which takes you to other parts of Copenhagen and more importantly, the airport. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is a good deal in a city that is otherwise extremely expensive. The lobby is very comfortable and drinks are served there throughout the day. The rooms are quaint and cozy, though a bit small. Still well worth it for the location. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.

Centrally-located hotel with great staffPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: I liked that the hotel was centrally-located, within walking distance to Stoget and Nyhavn, as well as the metro and train station.
Cons: I think the breakfast buffet was great, with lots of options; however, I thought it was a little pricey.
Location: Centrally-located, with Stroget (walking street full of shops and restaurants) and Nyhavn (restaurant row) nearby. Tivoli is nearby.
We stayed at Hotel Opera at the beginning of our trip to Denmark and at the end. During the first stay, our room was a little small with a kind of makeshift shower (just a curtain in the bathroom and a drain in the floor). For the second stay we had a bigger room, which was very nice. Both rooms were clean. The staff were exceptional. Anything we needed they accommodated, including going out of their way to get tickets for us to the annual Christmas play (thank you, Lars). Stamps can be purchased at reception, which was nice, and they also mailed the postcards for us. Being so close to Stroget, Nyhavn, and Tivoli was also very nice. Central Station and the metro were also quite close, making it easy to travel outside of Copenhagen.
