Great location, decent price!Posted Sep 2, 2014
Cons: Bathroom could be updated, the courtyard next to our room was loud early in the morning which was distracted.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Phoenix hotel. The highlight of the hotel is the location, it is right in the heart of the city. Also, it's quite pretty (don't let the fountain in the lobby distract you, its really pretty!). The room was comfortable, I would recommend going for the Deluxe room, it's worth the additional cost, that's what we opted for and I was glad that we did. The shower is a bit uncomfortable as you have to step up, but it works well. The bed is extremely comfortable. The staff is helpful.

short breakPosted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: Communication. Being aware of exactly what the guest has booked and paid for.
Location: Very close to Nyhaven and other attractions. Also Cruise Port.
We booked a superior room with cava and strawberries on arrival. However the room was small and did not have a safe (yet safe was listed in room description). We contacted reception and requested a room with a safe. They moved us to a much bigger and nicer room which did have a safe. I had read about another traveller having the same experience, and they also requested to be moved to a different room. They were very pleasant but I had to show them the copy of my booking indicating the package we had bought.

Location, location, location!!!Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The location is IDEAL! The breakfast buffet is worth the price and was extremely delicious and had an amazing assortment.
Cons: A little quicker service for getting rooms earlier than the programmed time!
Location: Wonderful area to walk, close to the Palace and the wharf. A great location at a reasonable (by European standards) price.
Our family of 5 started our vacation at the Phoenix Hotel after a very traumatic beginning. Our flight was canceled the day we were departing and our cruise was scheduled in 2 days. Phoenix Hotel assisted us with our changes in our plans of being picked up and held our reservation for a late arrival. They were very helpful and considerate after a very difficult and stressful start!

Good postion near the town but needs revamping.Posted Aug 5, 2014
Location: Furnishings and facilities
Tiny rooms. Could hardly get round the bed. Old fashioned facilities with shower over the bath and very, very difficult to get into

This is a beautiful hotel in grqnd old European style, very close to many cafes and eateries but set back from the noise and crowds. Also a short walk to major metro station on line to the airport. We had a delux room which had a bay window overlooking the rooftops. Very helpful and friendly staff.

As good as it getsPosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Great location.
Cons: The rooms need to be free of the chemical smell.
Location: See above.
The Phoenix is an old, recently updated hotel in what is now a very trendy part of Copenhagen. If you have luggage, youʻll want to take a cab ride there from the train station. Once in the hotel, you can take an enjoyable walk in any direction and pass through several shopping areas with wonderful waterfront restaurants and small clothing and antique shops. Itʻs 5 minutes from the castle and a 25 minute walk to Tivoli Gardens. That said, although the hotel rooms have the usual amenities, they are not great. The floor of our room and even the lovely spiral staircase up to the room, slope disconcertingly. Hold onto the handrail going down the stairs, and watch out if you tend to make midnight trips to the bathroom. Our room had a strong chemical smell that was not lessened by opening the windows which face a smoking patio.

Essence of CopenhagenPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The position and facilities were first rate.
Location: A walk to the fish restaurant at the harbour head off Churchill Park is ten minutes spent on the way to a perfect evening.
The Phoenix is situated a 5 minute walk in either direction from two of the most lovely parts of Copenhagen - the harbour around the Little Mermaid one way and the bustling cafe life alongside the canals and playhouse in the opposite direction. It is a well positioned, well presented and overall an excellent base from which to enjoy the city.
