Overnight stay from Florida to Michigan

Posted Apr 14, 2015
The hotel itself is great. Comfortable beds and pillows. Nice friendly staff. However, we were originally put in the room right next to the pool. When we requested a room change because of the potential noise and explained we would be retiring early and leaving very early they put us on the third floor. They were very accommodating. HOWEVER, when we opened the room it was very apparent whoever cleaned the room had used the bathroom because the SMELL was awful!!!

On our way to South Carolina. Stayed one night. Room pleasant and clean. Bed was comfy. Breakfast not so great, but typical of most breakfast included hotels. Would definitely stay again.

Outdated; Renovating

Posted Feb 24, 2015
As of Feb2015, hotel is being renovated, which it desperately needs. The 2nd floor was closed for renovations, and the room we got stuck with was NOT yet redone. It was outdated and dirty. Old dirty carpet, filthy upholstery, disgusting comforters on the beds (the old kind that you know they don't change between guests). I took the extra blanket out of the closet and found an old pool towel folded up with it, and the blanket was visibly soiled. Gross. The room also smelled funny (smelled dirty; not like stale smoke, thank goodness, but a diffrent kind of smell -- like Greasy Hair or Dirty Kitchen? Hard to describe...) I didn't let my children touch anything, I was on edge the whole time, and I just wanted to leave. The good points about the hotel are that 1/2 of the lobby / breakfast area has been redone already, and that part is nice. There is also a Starbucks right next to the hotel, which helped to bring me back to my happy place as we left. The general set-up or layout of the room we stayed in was nice -- 2 queen beds in a separate room from a nice "living room" area and a wet bar with counter, sink, refrigerator, microwave, and then a full separate bathroom. Flat panel TVs in both the bedroom and living room. It could have been really nice had it been clean and updated, instead of the outdated, dirty, disgusting, foul-smelling condition we encountered.

Ky. Stopover

Very nice! We had a 2 room suite. Would recommend highly if you have children. First room was like a living room with small refrig, microwave and sink and tv with bathroom just off of it. Second room had 2 queen beds with tv. My friend stayed in bedroom as she needed sleep and my kids and I stayed in the living room. Didn't check in til 4am and the kids had slept in the car so they never went back to sleep. Very nice and comfortable room.

THE HOTEL?

Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: The pool was refreshing and the hot tub was at the max for temperature. Lots of parking for the cars and close to the highway.
The room was clean and good for a nights rest, but that's about all. Breakfast was limited, but what we expected from this type of hotel. It was quiet and we were close to all the restaurants and gas stations.

Wonderful place.

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: The fireplace in the lobby is very welcoming. The rooms are good sized, neat, clean, and comfortable. And they are literally right behind a Starbucks.
Cons: The breakfast is expansive but that bacon is awful. Paper is thicker. Otherwise, fine.
Location: Right off the freeway. Easy to find but the driveway is kind of hidden behind a Starbucks. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
This is my second stay and both times I have found the rates very good, the rooms exceptional for the price, and they staff is just wonderful. I want to especially note a young lady named Rachael who answered my call when I phoned in with a question and also happened to be there when I checked in. She was just so sweet and helpful, she really made my visit special.
