I'd stay there but eat elsewhere.

Pros: Beautiful lobby and hotel room. Continental breakfast had lots of choices. Large wellequipped room - microwave & mini-fridge -bright with big windows.
Cons: The food at the main restaurant was disappointing - green beans were overcooked, sliced turkey was poor quality. It felt like college cafeteria fare.
Location: Williamsburg University of the Cumberlands. Daniel Boone National Forest
I stayed in the main section of the hotel for 3 nights. I used the indoor pool which was fine except that it was in another building and there were no locker room facilities at the pool. Has an elevator. Very clean.

Beautiful hotel with well trained staff.

Pros: Clean facilities and friendly staff.
Cons: sound proof windows to keep highway noise to a minimum.
Location: N/A
My only negative is that because it is so close to the highway, I had to hear the sounds of cars/trucks driving by all night.

A great place--something out of the ordinary.

Pros: The rooms are well maintained. The free hot breakfast is unequalled, with a beautiful dining room to eat in. The hotel lobby is magnificent.
We don't often drive to Florida, but when we do we always stay at the Cumberland Inn. At every exit on I-75 there's a multitude of chain hotels. It's so nice to stay at this little independent gem. The day we arrived young ladies in beautiful ball gowns were coming down the grand staircase in the lobby to meet their escorts for their first cotillion. Now that's not something you get to see every day.

Pros: The charm.
Cons: Pool in the main building or not having to walk outside.
We stopped overnight on our way from MI to FL. The room, bed, and included breakfast was perfect. Dinner in the dining room was delicious and the environment very relaxing.

Beautiful hotel

We had tickets to a concert in Corbin, KY and found this hotel on the internet. The picture of the lobby on the website drew me there and the price was fair. It was as beautiful as the picture and the service was above and beyond the regular hotel chains. The restaurant was very good and convenient while prices were very reasonable. Very pleased!!

Just 2 suggestions

Pros: The staff is outstanding: registration, housekeeping, restaurant. Each one was very pleasant & always very eager to assist.
Cons: As reported above: 1. Consider changing bathroom tissue. Interstate rest areas have better quality. 2. The bathroom vanities are terribly small.
Location: Although I haven't visited in years, I remember that Cumberland Falls is very nice.
1. Consider changing bathroom tissue. Interstate rest areas have better quality. 2. The bathroom vanities are terribly small. (Also, the fire alarm system really works! Wow, I think they heard it in Corbin)

5 star Inn

Pros: see above . The staff were students who were the best. TV guide was next to TV.
Cons: the in room refrig needs to be elevated as door sticks in carpet & too low to comfortably load & access what is put in " .
Location: see above. Cumberland River near for fishing, boating, etc. Tour the college
We were blown away by the beauty of the Christmas decorated entry. Every where you looked there was beauty. The 1st floor seating was inviting for conversation, the furniture was comfortable &taken care of. The second floor also had gathering spaces for conversation,TV & courtesy Internet. Our room was immaculately clean, the white tile in bathroom was the cleanest we have seen in any of our travels. The on site restaurant offered steaks to desserts. There was a swimming pool & hot tub in adjacent building. A museum of examples of wild life of the world , religious pictures & college history is free to tour. We recommend you stop & stay @ Cumberland Inn. We intend to stop & stay again.
