“Maimonides Hotel in Cordoba Excellent Place to Stay”
The Maimonides hotel was an excellent relief after having spent three nights at a mediocre hotel in Barcelona, and then another three nights at a bad hostel in Madrid. The hotel room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and the staff was extremely helpful. The hotel is a bit hard to find when first arriving since it is in the old part of the city but the location is well worth it. Once you find it you will not forget where it is at which is directly across from the Mezquita. I would highly recommend the Maimonides Hotel to anyone planning on spending time in Cordoba.
“Close to the Mezquita, that was nice”
The hotel is nice. The restaurant will be better if they have more food variety. Employees were very nice. I liked that is close to shops and the Mesquita is right at front of the hotel.
“Best Place to Stay”
The Maimonides Hotel is right across the street from the Mesquita. If I had arms like Kareem Abdul Jabbar I could have touched the Mesquita walls fromour balcony! Clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. But you should seriously consider NOT parking at the hotel. Narrow streets filled with people. Crazy. We parked at a public lot outside of Old Town & walked in with our luggage. Easy.
“Great Location”
The hotel had a great location, with the Mezquita right across the street. The staff were friendly and there was a hotel restaurant as well. My single room was pretty tiny, but clean. My only complaint is that it smelled of cigarette smoke. Next time I would ask for a non-smoking room.
“Location Location Location”
This was the best place to stay out off all the places we visited. You walk out your door and you are in another time and place.
“A Place to Remember”
The hotel is right next to the Mezquita and if you are lucky enough you will be facing the Bell Tower with fantastic early morning views and a guaranteed wake-up call from the larks. It could get rather noisy, though, especially when dusk falls and people get out in the streets to enjoy themselves. It is a rather amusing parade under your window. The alternative is to have a room facing the back and to feel slightly claustrophobic. The hotel is clean and feels cool and tranquil. The girls at Reception are very pleasant, professional and used to working in a rather busy environment. Wonderful exhibit of multitasking and genuine kindness.
“can't wait to go back”
Cordoba is a beautiful old city and the mosque is a "must see". The hotel is perfectly situated for the mosque and the old town, everything is walkable. with many many restaurants close at hand
“Close to Mezquita”
The hotel is literally across the road from the Mezquita with the river, old streets of the Jewish quarter and town center all close at hand. The hotel itself is also good. Excellent.
“Excellent location”
Could not be better, very helpful staff and very efficient, lovely location right next to the centre of town. Very difficult to get to by car, restricted access to vicinity of Hotel, but once you get there, staff saved us a space in their car park daily. Dont go by Sat Nav devices, does not recognise that the Bridge acros the river is closed to all traffic and you have to go the long long long way around.
“Fine Hotel- Met our needs very well”
The only downside to this hotel is its limited car parking. We had to park several blocks away and walk back but it was an interesting walk.
