This is a clean modern hotel close to the Roman Bridge giving easy access to the tourist attractions. The rooms were large, well equipped and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast excellent. The roof swimming pool and bar terrace offered superb views throughout the day.

In short, magnificent!Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, especially if you are driving into Cordoba.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a kettle made available in the rooms for making tea and coffee, like many of the other hotels.
Location: It is minutes away from the famous Roman bridge linking to the old city. It is only a short walk to the Mezquita and the Alcazar.
The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, especially if you are driving into Cordoba. It is minutes away from all the main historic sites. The rooms were quite clean and comfortable.

Excellent hotel in great locationPosted Aug 13, 2014
The hotel is located in a quiet road across the river from the old town, a five minute walk across the Roman bridge. It has clean, spacious rooms and a great swimming pool and terrace on the rooftop, with brilliant views. The breakfast offers an extensive choice and caters for those with food allergies. Of the five hotels we used on this trip, the Hisperia was the best and cheapest.

Excellent choice. Close to main sites by foot.Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Proximity to historic sites and cleanliness
Cons: Restaurant (breakfast)
Cordoba is an amazing city to visit. We stayed two days at the Hesperia and found the hotel very good (price-quality ratio). Just wake up in the morning and walk towards the historic center. You will find many places where you can have a Spanish breakfast (toast with serrano ham, tomato puree and olive oil; coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice). If you travel in July or August, try to visit the Alcazar and other outdoor sites in the morning, when the weather is not so hot. The guided tour of the Mezquita-Cathedral can be done in the afternoon. The tour guide would suggest to wait a few minutes to have two families together and then you split the cost of 40€. It was worth doing the guided tour to know more about the history of Cordoba and the Mezquita itself. For the visit to the Alcazar, we bought a book guide at the entrance for 3€ and was good enough to learn about its history. Spend some time in the gardens and you will enjoy the fountains and music syncronization show. We really enjoyed Cordoba! Tip: When travelling by car, if you find a spot to park on the street by the hotel, just park your car there and forget about it. We were lucky and therefore did not have to pay for any parking.

Close to the main sitesPosted Jul 20, 2014
A very convenient location, easy walking to the main sights of Cordoba. Hotel room fine, air conditioning not the best. Pool area limited, but better than not having one

Lovely hotel close to old city amd mosquePosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Close proximity to city and sights, lovely view, rooftop bar, welcoming staff clean and comfortable.
Cons: The hairdryer.
Location: Very close to old city tour bus and walking distance to cafés.
We arrived and were greated warmly by reception staff who were always helpful. We were offered an upgrade for river and city view which we accepted. Room was good size and very clean and comfortable . My only criticism would be the hairdryer ( had to hold down button and low airflow made drying my style impossibly long task). We were also offered cheaper rate for breakfast which had good selection of fruit, juices, pasties, rolls and breads, cereals and omelettes made to your liking. Great roof top pool and bar which also offered exceptional views of city. The hotel is walking distance , 10 minutes to old city over bridge and the tour bus stops just a few metres from hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel close to tourist sightsPosted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: The location and quality
Cons: Nothing, we were satisfied with everything
Location: Location perfect for sightseeing and just 5 mins walk to the mosque. The hop on and off sightseeing bus also stops almost opposite the hotel.
We drove from Mijas to Cordoba (2 hours) and the hotel was very easy to find next to the Roman bridge. We emailed the hotel for directions the night before travelling and had a reply within an hour with clear instructions. We were offered an upgrade to a superior room for 25 euros and this was well worth it for the view across the river and the old quarter. For peace of mind and security we paid 14 euros for the hotel's underground car park and the car was there for well over 24 hours with no additional cost. We were able to check in at 12 noon with the upgraded room which allowed us a full afternoon of sightseeing. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast in the hotel was excellent. Rooftop pool great for a late afternoon swim. Would highly recommend this hotel for its comfort and location.

Excellent view of the Mesquita by the nightPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: amazing location, great views of mesquita, very comfortable and clean.
Cons: Room service to be made available during breakfast time & do away with the supplement of 3Euros for any item ordered which is less than 9Euro as RS
Location: Opposite the bridge that connects the old city, excellent views of the mesquita
A comfortable, clean and modern hotel. We got it at a great deal and for the amount we paid, it was much better value. It is a proper 4 star hotel and it has amazing views of the Mesquita which looks even more glorious at nighttime when it is all lit up. The only thing that was bothersome was that the room service is only between 12 p.m. - 11 p.m. and if the bill is less than 9Euro, then a supplement of 3 Euros is charged per item.

Perfect for Cordoba visitPosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. There was free Wi-Fi
Cons: Maybe a cheaper wider range of evening meal options.
Location: Perfect location, only a short walk across the scenic Roman bridge to the main attractions. The hop-on hop-off bus starts almost oppopsite the hotel.
The hotel is perfectly located for visiting the Cathedral and Alcazar with wonderful views across the river. At night the illuminated Cathedral building and Roman bridge was magnificent.. It is well worth asking for a room facing the river and paying a little extra if necessary. The hotel has an excellent breakfast with a wide choice that should satisfy everyone there. In the evening there is a very nice bar on the roof terrace with wonderful 360 degree views and a perfect location for taking photos of the Cathedral and old town. The only downside was the available choice of evening meals which seemed a bit high. So we ate in a very nice restaurant further along the road.

Great views of the mosque. Perfect for families!Posted Jun 21, 2014
The hotel was perfectly situated across from the mosque. Magnificent views from the rooms and the roof top bar/pool, day and night. The hotel was very well priced. Very short walk to the old quarter (5 min). I would stay here again.
