A comfortable hotel, but a little isolatedPosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: The size of the rooms and the helpfulness of the staff
Cons: The heavy metallic room key is awkward to carry around, access to the pool is only possible between 12 noon at 8pm - too late for a morning swim!
Location: The situation is in the hills overlooking the city. A 40 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride to the city centre.
This hotel sits on a hill overlooking the city of Cordoba. Although a little far from the city centre and old town, a bus next to the hotel comes twice an hour and gets one into the centre within 10 minutes or so, at a cost of €1.20. Large, comfortable rooms with balconies and free bathroom toiletries are provided. There is also a credit card operated safe, large TV with satellite channels and a mini-bar in each room. Breakfasts are very generous and allow one to eat on an outside terrace, if desired. Some of the staff were english speaking and all were friendly, welcoming and helpful. I got a good room rate which included breakfast. A very relaxing stay.

Great accommodation in a beautiful setting.Posted Apr 29, 2014
This hotel is located on the outskirts of Cordoba with spectacular views over the city. Regular bus service operates from the next street, then a 10 minute walk into the heart of the city. The hotel rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Really good restaurant on site, also a beautiful swimming pool, tennis court and lush gardens. Highly recommended!

Great view of ToledoPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Wish we had allocated more time for this city on 8/28-29. Hotel is located on opposing hill from city so the view is fantastic. Except for the most determined, too far to walk to town especially since hotel itself is located well up the side of a steep hill. Staff was well trained and very helpful. As always, their English was much better than our Spanish. Free parking is nice since at many other places we stayed it was 20E or more. We rarely risk parking a rent a car on the street, even if available due to risk of hopefully innocent, but obvious damage to car mirrors and bumpers. Toledo does not quite have the feel of other "heritage" cities since the vehicle traffic through town is intense. Spanish hours prevail with a vengeance. We were politely, bur firmly asked to leave a store exactly at 2pm. The Best Western has a great terrace and restaurant.

Great Value for MoneyPosted Aug 27, 2013
We managed to get a good deal for this hotel which made it fantastic value for money. I am not sure what regular rates would be but even so I really can't fault the hotel. Rooms were comfortable, clean and nice, staff were were very pleasant and accommodating, restaurant and bar prices reasonable, the gardens are beautiful and the pool and pool area are excellent, and the hotel in general has a relaxed feel. It isn't city centre but that's only a 15 minute ride and there is a regular bus service. Highly recommended.

Nice hotelPosted May 16, 2013
Pros: Great bedrooms, good parking, quiet location, good transport links to city.
Cons: Pool only opens between June to August despite searing temperatures. No sun loungers available outside of this period. Public rooms can be noisy.
The Parador is a lovely hotel in a nice quiet location just out of town. We caught the bus in, it runs every 30 minutes and costs just 1.20 euros, takes about 10 minutes. Taxi costs around 8 euros. Nice big rooms with Juliette balconies to rooms in front and full balconies to rooms in rear overlooking the terraces. Not a particularly great view from the terraces as they overlook Cordoba in the distance and Cordobas sky line is not great from this position. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice, plenty of public rooms. It is difficult to find a quiet space in the public rooms as people use this hotel for functions and family gatherings, so during our stay it was full of noise and children running around. Please remember the pool is seasonal, this actually means it is only open between June and August. We stayed in May and it was 36 degrees and the pool was not open ! No use complaining, just accept this is the only time they open the pool and if you want a pool do not book outside the peak period. Also no sun loungers available outside the peak period so do not expect to find a nice quiet place on the lower terraces to sit. Good private parking at no extra cost. Staff are friendly but this is a busy hotel so you may have to wait a few minutes for service.

Parador CordobaPosted Jul 4, 2012
Cons: Pool did not open until 12noon, evening meals quite expensive but big portions
Location: away from the city centre in a nice suburb,on a bus route to the city, nice pizza restaurant within walking distance and a supermarket.
It,s a Parador so it is top quality.Very nice outdoor pool and garden with a snack and bar area, unfortunately pool does not open until 12 noon.Free parking. Bus stop just outside the grounds for trips into Cordoba.Staff very helpful and friendly.

clean comfortable hotel in an out of town location though not a problem as bus stop into town closeby and journey time 15 mins if you don't want to take a taxi. Good restaurant - only gripe is the slownessor lack of service in the bar/coffee shop. Plentiful choice at breakfast.
