Great hotel very close to the sandy beachPosted Jul 14, 2014
Very quite but very beautiful resort . Great place to unwind and relax . If you want a holiday with night life don't go to Glyfada as it is remote . We had a wonderful time on the beach or swimming in the sea . The hotel has had a complete referb recently it was very clean and the staff are very helpful

Great hotel overallPosted May 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a great hotel to stay with family or a romantic partner. The hotel is very clean, all areas well kept, and the service, although a bit laid back, was friendly and efficient. Breakfast had several options and everything was good. There is fantastic restaurant 30 meters away, looking at the sea. The quality of the food in the restaurant is amazingly good, and the prices medium (for example moussaka, 9,5 euros, cheeseburger 5 euros, fish, 13,5 euros). Our room had a fridge, useful to keep drinks, water and fruit. It also had air conditioning. Wifi works perfectly in every corner of the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel, the access to the beach and the mid to high level quality of all facilities and services are top notch!!

Great value! Family run business, great service. Beds can use some updating. Tip: if you are eating at the taverna below, try the grilled squid.

Beach retreatPosted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: General good state of repair; good breakfast; good staff; lovely balcony views.
Cons: It would have been helpful to know that the hotel's restaurant had closed for the season before our arrival.
Location: A quiet location at this time of year. There was only one place open for food and shopping (The Golden Beach, I think). A car recommended.
We stayed here for a week at the end of the season (in October). It is a lovely hotel very close to the beach and the staff were all friendly and helpful. It was very peaceful and perfect for a relaxing break. If you are happy to stay on the beach it is perfect - as long as the weather holds! It was quite stormy during our stay and a car became necessary to visit other sites and find alternative eating and shopping places. .

Overall good hotelPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Staff helpfulness. Room view. Quietness. Beach location
Cons: Breakfast - very limited selection. Better drinks selection in the restaurant. Better parking for hotel guests
Location: Kaisers Throne - great viewpoint and restaurant to see the sunset.
We booked this hotel to travel in late September just as the season was coming to a close. There was not much choice in restaurants or bars in the area at this point - but then Glafayda is more of a relaxing resort and so we didn't expect much. After trying out some of the restaurants further up the beach it turned out that the best food was to be found at the hotels own restaurant. Room was clean although showed some ware with the glass window partitions cracked on the balcony. The drains smelt a bit from the bathroom but from staying in other hotels on Greek islands this isn't unknown. Hotel staff really helpful and even helped us with currency exchange at what seemed a better rate than I got before I traveled. The beach is wonderful. All in all would stay again. Although to note we did not feel welcome in restaurant (the name I cannot remember but its before Alloa bar) - they tried to charge us for drinks we did not receive and were very cold with us. Other English guests there felt the same, they seem to be more geared towards other European travelers. As I said before the best restaurants were the hotels own one (although note they seemed to have very limited drinks menu), or a restaurant we found at the top of a local view point known as Kaisers throne.

the hotel was ok. needs alot of updatingPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: very clean and rooms cleaned daily
Cons: needs updating as its a bit tired and the bathrooms could be updated,
Location: location was very nice, but isolated. if you want to see the island the best way is to hire a car. which we did.
enjoyed our stay, a little isolated but location very nice, Only 2 restaurants in the area, but the food was nice. the beach itself is a sandy beach and shallow.l.

Great service but remote locationPosted Jun 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
It's very difficult to get anywhere from Glyfada because buses don't run often. The hotel was nice and the service was excellent. The beach was beautiful. However, it was too difficult for us to go to the town square or other towns without a car. We wouldn't recommend this location if you want to wander Corfu without a vehicle.

Great ValuePosted Sep 28, 2012
I have stayed in several hotels in Greece over three different vacations. This was the best value of all. The staff went to great lengths to respond to every request we made. The location was great. My son decided that this will be the hotel for his honeymoon when he gets married.
