This is our fourth stay at a Grecotel. Love their all inclusive package; staff at reception were exceptional and great service generally except in one speciality restaurant. Wifi in room hit and miss. We had problems with digital lock to our room which took days to sort; several times keys renewed, battery in lock changed etc etc. Overall a great stay.

Do not go go there, they don't care about the people who is staying there, the food is disgusting, the people who work at the reception rude, and don't care if u have an issues with them . Avoid in any cost . The only good thing is the Beach. By the way I would like to thank you Inga who tried to safe our vocation, is not her fault the food just bad and poor quility:) thank you Inga . By the way if u decide to go there any ways book restaurants ahead,they won't they tell you ahead . U will thank me later

This was one of the best all inclusive holidays we have had. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, food was fabulous and the daily activities and nightly entertainment was wonderful. Great value for money and a very friendly manager Alex who made everyone including children feel welcome.

Room was spacious and perfect for a family of four Pool was small compared to the size of resort and number of guests Dining options were average , other Grecotel hotels taste better Some staff were rude others were extremely nice which affected our experience at the beginning We were there for 5 nights and as soon as we arrived we asked to book at their restaurants surprisingly they said all restaurants r fully booked except the buffet one mentioning that on their website they ask to prébook and I told them this is not mentioned on Expedia where I did my booking which made me ask for the hotel manager and discuss !! Their kids club is average vs other kids clubs we’ve been to Thanks for birthday celebration , so thoughtful of them

Staff are polite, efficient and work super fast. Lots of staff around so any need met quickly. Clean rooms, fluffy towels and crisp cotton sheets. Access to beach is steep, but only a minutes walk and the beach is lovely.

I don't have enough words to describe the excellent, friendly, and attentive staff from the reservations call, reception, restaurants' staff and the staff that helped with our luggage! They were all with a smile on their face and work tirelessly in the heat of the Greek summer to provide us with impeccable service. Despite the premises needing a bit of a revamp, I would just return for the excellent service of the staff. That being said, the premises and room were very clean, and the food was delicious with a lot of choices. The hotel sits on a hill but there are golf carts that offer you (fun) rides down to the beach of the hotel. You may need to rent a car if you need to explore the island or inquire for public transportation. Awesome stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very helpful and professional. A lovely private beach and pool area. We had not realised you had to pay for food in the restaurants which was disappointing. Food allergy labelling was also not brilliant and a little confusing.

A very nice experience
The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The cushions on the chairs outside could have been cleaner. Older persons should be made aware that they will have to rely on the buggy to bring them back from the beach as it is steep hill and difficult for older people to climb. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Very nice resort, but not OMG.
Overall my experience was very positive, staff was amazing, I would recommend this resort. But like everything in the world today, resort looks better online, resort was no means bad or anything like that. But the photos online gives it a spark that you don't get in person. Besides the buffets, the resort does have 3 or 4 nice restaurants, but soon as you book please call to make reservations. I only ate at the buffets my 4 days there because restaurants were booked and has no availability.

The hotel is pretty decent, but has a few flaws which I think guests or potential guests should be aware of. The rooms are not to the same par as the rest of the hotel. I deliberately paid more for a bungalow and the decor and facilities were not up to the 4 star standard. I would say more like a 3. The buffet meals are okay. Some days are better than others. The snacks at the main bar are fresh and lovely, as are the patisserie, crepes and ice cream. Lots of choice and open most the day. Things that let it down are that I wasn’t made aware that I had to book the la carte restaurants before my stay. I only managed to book 1 when I was there for the Asia menu. The food and service was amazing. They should just let guests know early on to book this in advance. The hotel is on a cliff basically and if it’s not a super warm week you will get cold. The rooms have no heating which you wouldn’t think you need but I did! The service from staff was usually good but at night I had my drink forgotten about several times and I was waiting 20-30 minutes for one. The drinks list is massive. You get a lot included and the drinks themselves are amazing. For some reason they didn’t take my taxes until I checked out so make sure you keep this money spare. Outside of the hotel is severely run down and does not match the quality out into these hotels. I thought we were in the wrong place and it felt like a horror movie until. There isn’t much to do outside of the hotel.

A comfortable and well kept hotel. Private beach and grounds were well maintained. Staff helpful and polite. Super views from the sea view rooms. Hotel setting view from room amazing Staff very friendly and helpful and happy Food excellent huge choice at buffet. Great to book different restaurants for more choice. Did this before arriving through portal. Hot stone excellent great food and special service Tavernaki Greek restaurant too dark at night to see and too much food brought to table not our favourite Il giardino Di olivio amazing lunch buffet at beach changes to Asian buffet at night. Food could have been warmer but still lovely Il gattopardo very special meal and attention to detail La contessa at Eva Palace. Disappointing soup cold and not treated as well when we stayed at Eva palace earlier in the year. Huge choice of drinks all included in our package. Our room needs refurb but very roomy lots storage and kept clean. We were offered upgrade to renovated bungalow but opted to stay in our room due to view and convenience Courtesy bus to beach great too but not too far to walk bit of a hill on way back Lots of sunbeds at roomy beach. Free pedalos canoes etc. Sea warm and safe Not too keen on fairly loud repetitive music at breakfast starts at 7.30. Our room above restaurant! Hotel was getting busy with lots of families prob school hols. So need to be aware if you looking for peace. Overall amazing value wonderful holiday.

Nice hotel with a private beach. The food was very nice, though we weren't able to book into any of the additional restaurants on site as they were all fully booked. Gym was small but had all the equipment you would need. The beach had free paddle boards and pedalos and other watersport activities.

Horrible all inclusive wine. Noisy A.C. in need of service (room 715). We were not offered room only at euro 150 and had to pay 300 - 350 which included dubious benefits. We were dropped at this place by an out-of-town taxi driver.

For the hotel and customer rating i expected a higher and more efficient level of service from desk staff. I found several very rude and was surprised to find several food items frozen on the menu. The gym was very bad and i had a piece of equipment break and hurt me for which the hotel did nothing about!

Truly wonderful!
I don’t normally leave these reviews, but Grecotel Daphnila was truly special that not leaving a comment would not be fair to them. They have some of the most approachable and special staff (such as Theodora at the upstairs bar, the entertainer from Czechia, the yoga instructor Georgina (wife’s fave), and all the others. And the hotel is gorgeous; every part is special, a wonder of universe in a Bay area with its own beach. The bungalows all have sea view; ours was wonderful (especially waking up to the sound of waves). The hotel is truly all inclusive, including amazing drinks and cocktails that you can grab from multiple bars and restaurants dispersed throughout the establishment.

The all inclusive buffet was surprisingly very good with an excellent choice of food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was superb and the all day freshly made waffle and pancake area. Situated by the beach - perfect Staff were good and attentive.

Decent family resort
The view from the room was stunning. The staff are friendly and willing to sort out issues. The bed is two singles stuck together which is a pity and the mattress was really hard but they changed it to a softer one. Still not as soft as major chain hotels. The WiFi is the hotel is not very good and emails does not through...just browsing. The food was ok. Because of the late flight the staff were very accommodating and allowed us late check out at not extra cost.

The views from our room were stunning, waking up and having a coffee on the balcony in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, with the sea views rolling down from steep hills, and the snow-capped mountains of Albania to look out to was fantastic. The staff could not have done more, and the range and quality of food and drinks each day was fantastic, it was almost impossible not to gorge. This was my first time in an all-inclusive resort and I thought I would go stir crazy with a lack of choice, but this wasn't the case. We went at the start of the season over the Easter holidays and they probably weren't into the swing of the entertainment schedule, which was generally aimed at kids in the evening (though there was good live music one night). It's very family friendly, but would have been good to have a small bar area for adults. This may be different as it progresses into the full season. The resort itself is deserving of four stars, however the rooms are in need of updating, probably what you would expect from a three star property. The beds need replaced as soon as possible, they are twins pushed together (but not connected) so slide apart, and the quality of the mattress is poor enough to affect sleep. I've never gone to a hotel before and had such an issue, and it's a real shame to have let the hotel down. We will be back in a flash when this has been sorted!
