Great Value

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: The venue had a waterfall, great staff and rain shower bathroom.
Cons: The elevator could be updated but that's all I could think of.
Location: A short walk to the main mall.
Served coffee while I waited for my room to be made up and made phone calls for me also.

Klein, aangenaam hotel in centrum.

We hadden een mooie kamer in dit hotel. Geen herrie ervaren ondanks ligging in centrum van Cork. Goed ontbijt.

Nice & convenient for city centre and bus terminus

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Its position, size, price and ambiance suited me well for my short break in Cork
Cons: The lift could be a little larger and quicker -but suited this single traveller fine.
Location: The Theatre opposite puts on some very good stuff.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant (Greene's) with an engaging water feature -check it out online and book ahead, it's very popular. There is another restaurant on the ground floor which is less expensive. The street has several cafés and fast food outlets. Opposite is a small theatre with a nice bar. Main city centre shops are 250 metres away. Bus depot is 350 metres away. Opera House is 500.

Great location; perfect for a flying visit

Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: location, staff, breakfast
Cons: bathroom - but this is more a space issue than anything else. Satellite TV channels?
Location: Shops, theatre, restaurants & cafes, river - everything really
A really nice hotel in a fantastic location. The hotel has an award winning restaurant which overlooks a waterfall - this is great at breakfast time - I would whole heartedly recommend paying for the buffet breakfast - it was so delicious (fresh scones, butter, jams, delicious coffee, as well as perfectly crisp croissants, etc. Lovely yoghurt in chilled glass jars... mmmnnn I'm hungry just remembering it!) The room I had was ok and the bed very comfortable although the shower was very small and it took a while to ensure I could actually get under the water. I was in a single (ish) room though so never expect too much. It was not unpleasant though and I would certainly stay again. The staff were extremely helpful and charming. I ate in the restaurant next door (Isaacs) and ate the most delicious fish cakes. Indeed, the location was abundant with restaurants, cafes and take-aways (fish and chips) which all looked excellent - so one is spoiled for choice. The hotel is a short walk into the city centre including the English Market and is opposite the Everyman Theatre; it is also just a short walk from the tourist information office and wonderful architecture, the river and cool shops.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Top Lage. Das Parken ist ein klein wenig umständlich, ansonsten jedoch nur zu empfehlen.

Lovely Hotel, Location terrific

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The staff first and foremost, we loved them. Regina and Nicola along with the General Manager, and the rest of staff were brilliant,
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The location for us was good, the rail station was about an easy 10 minute walk away, along with the bus station, plenty of eating places and walks.
We have a wonderful 5 night break at the Hotel Issac in Cork, the hotel is a beautiful old building with lots of character, our room was huge, with everything you needed, bathroom beautiful, it was all spotless, the staff are so helpful and friendly, our meal in Greenes Restaurant was beautiful, and the breakfast menu was great.
