Really lovely hotel in a quiet part of Cork with easy access to city centre. In quirky location, with a waterfall in the courtyard!

close to town center

Maria at the front desk was unbelievably kind and helpful. The hotel lobby, pub and dining room are quaint and the waterfall is peaceful. The rooms are slightly dated and the air conditioner didn't work well at all. For a quiet night's sleep close to city center it was fine.

Great location, near Aircoach and downtown.

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast
Cons: Update or repair shower glass
Location: Easy walk to English Market, Aircoach bus, etc.
We enjoyed a one night stay at this hotel on our way from Kinsale to Dublin. We needed a location near the Aircoach bus to Dublin Airport and found this hotel to be perfectly located and a very pleasant stay. The room was nice enough, although the shower glass lacked a seal where it joined the bathtub, making it impossible to shower without water leaking to the floor. Breakfast at the adjoining Greene Restaurant was nice, with a very interesting view of water cascading down a rock hillside.

Elegant Entryway

Posted May 19, 2014
Hotel is a typical old European hotel, but that makes its charm. Most beautiful entryway. And conviently located to a great breakfast and lunch place, Taras Tea Room and The Fisher Wife. And just a short walk across the river to the heart of the town!
