The hotel was wonderfully located in city center and was easy to find and navigate to and from. Parking was a challenge - although they have a parking area, it is up a very steep hill and requires calling from your cell phone to access the lot (this didn’t work for me as my US phone wouldn’t make calls, so they did provide a remote for me to use). It was unpleasant getting luggage to and from the car but we do understand how parking can be challenging in a large city so it was nice to at least have a secure place to park! The staff was friendly but seemed fairly businesslike and not very warm or overly helpful when we requested simple things, for example - when we asked for ice they said no, sorry, and then directed us to the restaurant across the way who gave us a glass with 5 or 6 ice cubes in it. There was also no hair dryer and not many outlets in the room, and the fan was bolted to a table on the opposite side of the room, far away from where you would get any relief from it. Overall the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was great so we would stay again but be prepared to not have access to easy amenities.

I stayed for three nights in a comfortable double room. Only one complaint that was outside the hotel’s control which was some late night hammering from an adjoining building. Otherwise the room was quiet. The music from the courtyard below could be heard in the bathroom but not in the bedroom. A problem with my tv was sorted very quickly. Very comfortable bed, much needed after a day of walking. Amazing water pressure made for an invigorating shower. The breakfasts were delicious. The hotel is perfectly situated to explore the city on foot or by bus. ( I didn’t have a car). 20 mins by bus from airport. A half hour bus ride to Blarney. I enjoyed my stay and hope to return.

The Issac was an amazing place to stay. Perfectly located to be on one side of St. Patricks bridge that was hip and quiet, but a 5 minute walk brought you across to the center of everything where you could enjoy all the pubs, shopping and the English Market. The Hotels bar which is next door, is awesome. Great unique cocktails and delicious food. The Bartenders were very friendly and explained their recipes. Highly recommend the hotel

AVOID THE APARTMENTS IN #58.
Hotel and staff are overall very nice. Cask bar has great cocktails and tapas. We stayed in one of the apartments down the street. The 1-bedroom apartment was very nice with modern furnishings and a nice bathroom. The downside is that our unit shared a wall with a bar/night club that played loud music. Th e crowd noise and music continue until after midnight and make it impossible to sleep in the bedroom. You could not hear the noise in the living room and we would have tried to sleep there if there was a pullout sofa. I would not recommend staying in the apartments in #58 just due to the noise. If your unit is adjacent to the bar, the noise in the sleeping room is loud. If you are in the front of the building, you can hear the people from the bar on the street. I would try the rooms in the hotel or one of the apartments in the hotel proper.

Location is great, close to many great spots. However, a few things that made me feel as if it was an average stay…first, I booked a room for a king sized bed and was put into a room with two doubles. After traveling I was too tired to make a fuss of it, however at 5AM someone at the restaurant was taking trash out from the restaurant and made SO much commotion it woke us up out of a dead sleep. Then the shower and sink were spitting out rusty water so, I just was turned off. Also be noted! If you’re booking from Expedia…it says 12 o clock check out, however the apartments are actually 10:30 check out. Not the worst, not the best.

What a nice hotel! The staff were so welcoming, our room was quiet and comfortable and the dining option of the hotel's own restaurant, Greene's was a great experience! Central location to Cork, easy walking not to mention, minutes away from Blarney Castle. Thank you for your hospitality!

I have used Isaac's many times over the years as a moderately priced convenient hotel that does the basics very well. Now that it has decided to price itself at the same level as better equipped hotels, it would be hard to justify staying there in the future. For instance, €30 for breakfast on top of a very high room rate cannot be justified for someone who has a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea. Pity that it has decided to price itself out of its market.

My stay was 2 nights. The central location was perfect. Parking offered near was very convenient for a city hotel. Enjoyed great service in the hotel pub and restaurant. Good food and fair pricing. Only complaint, and not in hotel's control, was the road construction directly outside the hotel, my room faced the street...the morning construction noise prevented any sleep later that 7.00am. If I had of known, I feel that I would have found a different hotel.

This was a gem of a hotel! Staff lovely. Room comfortable and chic. And both the restaurants Cask and Issacs were top notch. I had the best meals of anywhere in Ireland there. Would defiantly recommend a stay!!

The hotel was located in a street you had no place to unload your luggage. The instructions to park were not clear. You have to go through a very busy and noisy restaurant to get to the front desk. The fire alarm went off many times at 1:00am. Someone had push the alarm but hotel property could not find the key to turn it off . Rooms were clean but air conditioning did not cool off room.
