Nice location, ask for a room away from the street
The Imperial Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Cork. The hotel is located just a couple of blocks from the bus station, as well as within walking distance of shopping and dining. I would highly recommend this hotel as it was convenient, exceptionally clean, the staff was very helpful, and the location was excellent.
“I'd love for my bedroom at home to be like this hotel room.”
The hotel is beautiful - restaurents were modern w/charm and the food was lovely. The included breakfast was a pleasant surprise in variety. Bathroom has radiant floor heating - what a treat! Not enough lighting in the bathroom - my husband shaved very slowly. The pool is not available to hotel guests - it belongs to the Spa, thus you need to pay extra to use it. Location is excellent - right in the centre of Cork. Excellent shopping, close to bus station so you can travel easily to other attractions.
“Great central location in Cork City”
The hotel is a stately old property that has been updated. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though somewhat small. The staff was superb! We arrived the night after the Boston Marathon bombing, and awaiting in our room was a bottle of wine, fruit basket and handwritten note from the staff keeping our family and friends in their thoughts and prayers. What a touching, classy gesture....one that moved us to tears.
“Nice staff with worn rooms”
Business trip so not looking for anything too luxurious. Nice staff, restaurant and pub was good. Rooms were clean but very dated and worn down. Moved rooms once due to bad signal with wireless internet. Both rooms were clean but just dated and worn down.
Looks better on pictures than in person. Was dirty.
This hotel is over rated, over priced and is in very poor condition.
