“Typical B&B”
Most rooms are small as I was able to see several. Was given the option between two nearly identical rooms. Double bed is really really small for two people and plan to cuddle close if your actually sharing the blanket as its a bit too small for two people to comfortably sleep under. Shower and bathroom is also quite small & could not get the internet to work. No elevator so plan on lots of stairs. The lady who greats you is very sweet and offers you tea & will store your bags. Look out as breakfast may not be included as your led to believe and will cost about 10 euro per person. 20 euros a bit steep for a 2 person B&B breakfast. Overall its a typical B&B but I feel no need to go back again.
“Cork City”
The bathroom was extremely tiny. The room was very loud; you could hear everything in all surrounding rooms, particulary the one above us. But the owner was a very friendly, nice lady.
“Wonderful place, wonderful hosts!”
Everything was perfect. Close to city centre, delicious and speedy breakfast every day, and our hosts were extremely personable and accommodating. Will definitely go again and recommend to everyone!
“Pleasantly Surprised”
Even though we had booked online that morning for a double bed, we were giving a 2 bed (1 single and 1 double) room with ensuite. It was on the 4th floor, no elevators, but that wasn’t a problem. Room was clean and tidy, with shampoo/soap in bathroom as well as tea/coffee. Since it was only a 10 minute walk to downtown Cork it was extremely convenient. Easy to locate and had extra parking at the back. At first it seemed that breakfast was overpriced at 7.50 Euros for cereal, muffins and toast, but when we sat down at the table was offered tea/coffee with either a full fry or eggs/bacon and toast. Portions were very generous. I would recommend this place to anybody.
“A comfortable place to stay”
Killarney Guest House was a comfortable place for our family to stay, and at a great price. The rooms are small, but very clean. Very quiet, even though it is on a busy street, convenient parking. Downtown Cork is just a few minutes away, within walking distance. The breakfast was good and included hot choices as well as fresh fruit, cereal, and choice of beverages. The staff was wonderful! I would recommend this hotel for families, couples, and singles.
“The Irish were most friendly.”
Although we arrived early, the hostess served us tea and coffee while our room was being prepared. The included breakfast was delicious and well worth the price. The downtown bus stopped nearby, a great convenience. Thank you, Margaret, for your hospitality.
“very friendly”
We had very helpful staff. It was a nice touch to have home baked scones. We'd go back.
