Been in better but also been in worsePosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: Take more time to clean rooms.
Room was very dirty just have to be glad we had a roll of paper towels and windex with us. From the looks they do a very basic clean (empty trash, replace towels and bedding, and a quick vaccum). Not much offered for breakfast. Highway is very near and you can hear the traffic and free wifi was near the main lobby.

You Get What You Pay ForPosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The room was comfortable, it was not too expensive, the location off the highway was good. Layout of motel was pleasant and easy to access.
Cons: Better staff monitoring breakfast area, add hot foods and waffle maker to breakfast selections. Breakfast seemed very minimal or sparse.
Location: Acropolis restaurant across the street is an annual favorite for us. We love it!
When the price is low, should you expect that the provisions will be also? The staff were polite but impersonal. Not rude, just indifferent and disconnected. The Continental Breakfast was exactly that and casually restocked. When we got to the breakfast area at about 7:45am, there were four bagels, two muffins, a bowl of apples only, unmarked juice (turned out to be OJ) in a chiller machine, cereal, lots of sliced white bread, but no coffee and the "hot" water in the pumper pot was lukewarm. Guess I'm spoiled by places that offer hot foods and a waffle maker as well as a variety of fruits. Missed having an attendant who keeps the counters cleaned and neat, the breakfast items consistently replenished, and distinctly appeared to be paid staff and not another motel guest. Our attendant sat in the breakfast area chatting with what appeared to be family members during breakfast hours. There was a lot of running on balconies after 11pm, as well as smoking outside of our non-smoking room (had to walk through it as we exited or entered room). TV in room had horrible reception on the major networks. One lamp had burned out bulb, and when we left the bulb on the end table it was picked up by housekeeping but not replaced. There was a loud party Saturday night which ran (literally) through the conference rooms, breakfast area, and lobby. If I'd known about that, I would have wanted to change my room location or motel selection.

college visitPosted Apr 8, 2014
Cons: Better food on the breakfast buffet. More hot food options and fresh fruit would be nice.
We stayed at the Days Inn while visiting Davidson College. The stay was satisfactory. No frills, but great price for a clean, safe nights stay.

It's OK for the pricePosted Mar 3, 2014
The shower w as the worst. You had to play with the know to turn on the hot water. Everything else was exactly what I paid for. It wasn't a horrible hotel but you definitely get what u pay for. Was only in the room to sleep and shower anyway so it worked.
