What a lovely placePosted Sep 14, 2014
Single guest, down for business at local art gallery. What a location! 2 minutes from beach; 10 minutes from town. Room was small and not en suite, but very very clean. I slept well all 5 nights without interruption. Bit of a faff plugging in my computer and phone charger (room so small I had to move furniture), but good wifi connection. The lounge is excellent - great for flopping in and reading the rather Tory newspapers! The breakfast was utterly fab, with truly lovely staff. I recommend the kippers. The proprietor is a really friendly guy. Highly recommended.

Lovely guesthouse, super staffPosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Location, staff and breakfast options.
Cons: Rooms were small but priced accordingly.
Location: Princess pavillion for graduations, beach, town and maritime museum were on our doorstep.
I cannot fault this guesthouse. I stayed with my family for my son's Falmouth graduation. It is in a great location for this, just across the road from the Princess Pavillion. The staff at reception and serving breakfast were super helpful. There is a great range of freshly made breakfast options to enjoy. Whilst the rooms we had were small, they were adequate, with everything we needed. Clean and well presented. So all in all, a very good value and well located guesthouse. I would happily recommend it.

Good location to Falmouth town centrePosted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Ideal for a night or two - close to beach at the end of the road and within walking distance of town centre..
Hubby and I stayed here for 1 night, had the ensuite in the attic, my husband is 6'4" so was quite unfortunate really for him having to bend down going up and down the stairs. The room was fine tho tiny shower room / toilet, handbasin in the bedroom. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was nice. The bedroom could do with new windows as they were old. The chap on reception (owner?) was very nice and informative of places nearby.

Hotel easy Access to birth beach and townPosted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Close access to both the beach and town
Cons: A mirror near a plug so that a hair dryer can be used and better lighting in room as very dark and not appealing to walk into
Location: Great beach and walks and a decent town
Hotel was ok but the bedroom was very dark as it overlooked the rear side of the house with 1 small window and overgrown with trees.

Nice well located hotelPosted Aug 19, 2014
Nice hotel, just a minutes walk from the beach & 5 minutes to the centre of town. Freindly, accommodating staff and a lovely breakfast!

Ok B&B but would go elsewhere next timePosted Aug 17, 2014
Cons: Owner not very personable and seemed preoccupied making for a distanced feel to tourists coming to stay in his B & B.
Location: Two minute walk to beach, and 10 minute walk to town with restaurants, shops, marinas, etc.
The B & B was in a decent location, within a two minute walk to beach. The owner was business only. Could have cared less about being friendly, just answered questions and not much more.

Not so goodPosted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Location for beach and town , pleasant gardens and sitting room
Cons: Accurate information before booking the hotel ,we would not have booked
Location: Nice beach bar , good restaurants in the centre , good gardens close by
The best way to describe the hotel is basic . The room was very poor with an uncomfortable well worn bed , minute TV and old fashioned bathroom . The real issue was road noise which was terrible being on the main route into Falmouth centre , and woke us up many times throughout the night . The sitting area and gardens were nice but no staff on hand to deserve drinks . Breakfast was good with decent staff, and hotel location for the beach and town centre was very good

Very well situated for beach & townPosted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Its position. 2 minute walk from the beach with a bar/restaurant selling yummy good and 5 minute walk from the town.
Cons: Our room - very dark because of the small window and the bed felt like it needed a new mattress
Location: Beach has life guards in summer. Bar, restaurant, café and toilets. Bouncy castle for kids and various water sport equipment hire
Overall, nice hotel with friendly staff but our room was disappointing. It had a very small window next to a large and beautiful tree which made the room very dark and a bit claustrophobic

Beautiful hotel, great location... that's itPosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Well set decor. Pleasant grounds. Great location.
Cons: A smile to the guests. A fan in the room would have helped.
Location: Walking distance to the beach, parks and village for shops, pubs and restaurants.
Inside and out the hotel is very beautiful and nicely decorated... But... at check i, the person was indifferent to my presence. The room was very small but expected for the price. Bed was lumpy and hard. The room was hot all night even with the window open. Walls were very thin, I could hear what was being watched on television in the room on one side and the conversation a couple was having on the other. Breakfast was very good. But again, the person serving wasn't pleasant. There was a young lady that served the table beside mine that was very pleasant to the people she was serving which ended my stay on a nice note.

Looks nice from the outside!!!!Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: It was within walking distance of the beach and town.
Cons: Bigger room with en-suite. Musty smell removed. Sink and cheap, plastic mirror removed from room. Storage facilities- there were none.
Location: Beach and town, shops and restaurants just a short walk away.
On walking in, the hotel smelt very musty. I had a single room, which was smaller than a child's bedroom. The bedlinen was clean, as were the towels but they were a little rough. The shared shower room smelt also and I felt I had to get up early to use the toilet and shower first. On leaving the hotel for the afternoon, it was requested that the keys be placed on a peg in reception- anyone had access to all the keys. The breakfast was nice, but had been kept warm. The staff were not particularly friendly although not rude.
