A character hotel in it's decor

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: A warm welcome.
Cons: For breaksfast. was ok but the sausages should be bigger and not like chipolattas
A good welcome and plenty of parking spaces. Which in Falmouth seems a problem. The only problem I had was that the single bed mattress was moving through the night. Bathroom was a good size

Pros: Really great views and very friendly welcome.
Cons: Tea making facilities on a narrow shelf unit with nowhere to put the cups when you pour the water. Had to make tea on the floor. A Table would help.
There was a leak into the room on the first night. We put this down to the extremely severe weather and a combination of torrential rain and winds (christmas 2013). Owner's were most helpful and offered an alternative room immediately. We decided to stay in the original room with no recurrence of leak for the rest of the stay.

A disappointing wait for breakfast...

Posted Oct 13, 2013
Hotel was fine. Quite busy with all the paraphanalia but some may like that. Decor a bit tired. Beautiful view from good sized room. Only disappointment was the 45 minute wait for breakfast which made us late. People very pleasant. Tiny TV.

Pros: Excellent breakfasts, staff very friendly.
Cons: Could have had more coffee sachets in room.
Location: Close to Falmouth and the South West Coast Path
We had a very pleasant stay. Room very comfortable with a terrific view across to Falmouth Bay.

Nice homely hotel

Posted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: The hotel had good parking facilities at the back.
Location: Only stayed one night as we were attending our daughter's graduation so didn't really have enough time to look around, maybe another time.
A warm welcome when we booked in and a very comfortable room. The bathroom had a very easy to use shower and not cramped as we have experienced in some hotels. Our room had a lovely view of the sea which made it feel more relaxing.

Ok BnB

Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: It had an old world charm.
Cons: Better sound proofing, larger rooms, more generous portions on breakfast, showerhead needs adjusting to the right angle, shabby look to the place.
Location: Near beach and town centre, good location.
I had a single room, cramped, bathroom was large in comparison.

Decent enough choice

Posted Aug 10, 2013
Very clean, comfy bed and good night's sleep. Handy car park. Good location for beaches, short walk to town centre. Staff relatively uninterested, breakfast ok. Room ok but dated, TV tiny and barely any channels. Ok for a few days or business trip.

Nice house shame about the room

Posted Mar 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is an old house, which is well cared for. If you do not like photos of people staring are you while you walk to your room or dine, then this isn't the place for you, as they are everywhere. The little touch of naming each room after a teddy bear situated inside can be a bit twee, but was a nice touch. The room itself has reasonable space and a good view of the sea out of the bay window (which has cushions on so you can sit there and enjoy the view). The bear in our room was seated in a small chair instead of on the bed, as he was in other rooms. We soon found the reason for this. The bed was solid. Each night we struggled to get to sleep and when we did, we woke up in pain. My wife even resorted to sleeping on the cushions on the bay window. The shower was a bit on a non-entity as I have seen teething babies dribble more water than came out of the shower. When we arrived, there was a small dead moth on the window sill, which was still there when we left. But apart from that, the room was clean The location was good, and if you are fit, you can walk to the town and its attractions (National maritime museum, Pendennis castle, Trago mills (my mothers fav)). The breakfast was good and there was plenty of it. Just don’t expect service with a cheery good morning. Overall the stay was what we needed it to be, and apart from the bed it serviced our needs.
