Amazing location and friendly staff

Posted May 30, 2015
Everything was very good. Only negative is that the music played in the kitchen / restaurant carries through the building and on Wednesday only stopped at midnight. The base was just too annoying. Apart from that, the food was good, as was breakfast. The rooms are small, but comfortable. But the best part was the efficient and friendly staff, a huge credit to the hotel.

The best hotel, ever!

Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: Absolutely everything. Uppermost though, the friendliness of the staff and the divine meals from Aaron Janes.
Cons: Can't think of one single thing.
Location: Great location - very near to the centre of town. All rooms overlook the harbour. Close to the shops, to the bus and train stations. Lovely walks.
This was just the best experience. The staff are extraordinarily friendly, the views amazing, and the greatest chef in Aaron Janes. I had the best nights of my life in an incredibly comfortable bed and a superb room. Can't wait to go back there! A huge thank you to Alan and all his staff for making my stay so very special. A very special thank you to Judith!

Off Season

Posted Feb 3, 2015 on Hotels
When we arrived the owner wasn't expecting us but that was due to a miscommunication from the booking agency. When everything was sorted we were looked after really well. The location is fantastic and the views second to none, however due to the time of year (Jan) and not being expected there was maintenance work being carried out. The Harbour runs an honesty bar which is great, but (I don't know if this is usually the case) the was no bar tariff on display... so you write down what you drink but you don't know the cost. Despite these minor points we had a lovely relaxing break and would definitely recommend it to others.

Loved this hotel. Amazing views and breakfast

Posted Oct 17, 2014 on Hotels
Really enjoyed this hotel. The views over the harbour are amazing. Allen the manager is great, very friendly and gave us great local restuarant advice as the hotel restuarant is closed out of season the breakfast however is amazing quality . Parking is a bit tough and limited but there is local parking nearby. Attention to detail is great.I would return for sure. Each room has a pretty balcony and the room is very comfortable. Great stay. Thanks

Great location, amazing view

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The room was compact but it had everything we need & the balcony made it easy to forget the room size! Amazing breakfast!
Cons: We were really lucky with parking as it was out of season but I could imagine it wouldn't be the most accessible by car in season.
We stayed here for a couple of nights out of season so it was rather quiet (not a bad thing). The hotel staff were fantastic & we wanted for nothing. Polite, friendly & I loved that they were trusting enough to run an honesty bar. It felt like being at home!

The Harbour

Posted Oct 6, 2014
The room we were in was really nice but fairly small, the views more than make up for it though. Not massively obvious where you need to go when you arrive as there's no reception area.

Amazing

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: View, location, customar care
Cons: Bed/TV size
Location: Right on the harbour, walking distance to town, main beach and Fistral beach
Fantastic location right on the harbour, within walking distance of all beaches and town. Free parking right outside the door if you can get it, otherwise you can normally grab a free space at the Red Lion just a few yards away. Food smelled fantastic although we didn't try a meal there in the 3 nights we stayed (not enough). Room was a nice size with nice facilities, view from all rooms amazing, each room has a balcony with chairs. Staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived home yesterday, already looking to book a week next year.
