I was very pleased with the Longboat Inn. I arrived after a hard day walking the Coastal Path and the first impression was that the Longboat Inn is a warm, cozy, comfortable place - both downstairs in the bar/restaurant and in my room. The building is old and quirky but very clean and comfortable.
My single room was at the back of the building and had a view of an ugly alley. However, the room itself was fine. It was warm and clean with tea and coffee provided. The bathroom was surprisingly large. It had a big window so it was full of light. That window was frosted for privacy which also had the benefit of hiding the ugly alley. The bed was one of the most comfortable I came across during my time in Cornwall.
I was surprised that breakfast was included in my room price. The breakfast was great.
The location is great - in the middle of town, a couple of mins from the bus station and a Tesco Express.
Despite being the only place that did not put my delivered bag in my room, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Overall the Longboat Inn was a great choice.
