See all #### TripAdvisor ReviewsThe Royal Inn is conveniently situated for Par railway station and the start of the branch line to Newquay. It is only 4 miles from The Eden Project and right in the heart of the Cornish Riviera.
There is a cosy and welcoming bar, which leads on to a two roomed restaurant – the first room is cosy with a beamed ceiling and the second room is a sunlit conservatory where breakfast is served.
There are 15 newly created rooms, varying from standard to premier class with twin, king-size and super-king beds. All rooms are decorated to a high standard and have en-suites.

“Excellent stay”
The hotel was excellent in all respects, and we would definitely go back if we were in the area again. The staff were very helpful and the service first class, especially the food - we have never known food to be so piping hot before.

“Looking forward to a return visit”
We selected this hotel as an overnight stop close to the Eden Project and we were delighted with the experience: a pleasant, spacious room, with a comfortableKing-sized bed. The restaurant served a delicious dinner and the breakfast was good.
“Hotel Quality in a Pub”
The Royal Inn puts a few hotels to shame. Well maintained and clean. Rooms are off an annex to the pub and you can come and go at any hour. Rooms are very clean with large bathrooms. Pub itself is decent enough with a few Cornish ales and selection of food. Its a bit in the middle of nowhere, but if you have a car its not a problem, and great to use as a base or an overnight stop.

“Thoroughly recommend”
A lovely hotel would recommend to all my friends. A great breakfast and we also ate in the restaurant and the food was just has good. A very enjoyable stay. Only a 2 minute walk to the station if you fancy a day off from driving everywhere. We stayed 5 nights and the only disappointment was the weather.

This extended pub is very good value for money. The room was quite large and very well equiped. The restaurant staff were particularly good and the breakfasts were excellent.
“Much better than you would expect”
A lovely base to stay at the side of the pub, with fabulous food and lovely ales. It has a separate dining/breakfast area in a conservatory where you can choose to eat or you can have the pub menu in the bar. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was just as good as staying in a decent hotel with a lovely modern bathroom suite which was spotless. The walls are a little thin however this was not too much of an issue. We would definitely stay here again and represents good value for money.

“Stay at Woolacoombe”
The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment. The staff are excellent. I know it is a 2* hotel but all around there is signs of decay, rust, poor decor etc. Badlky needs a face lift. We stayed from the 19th - 22nd Aprilo 2012. We complained about the room we were first in and the receptionbist did his best to give us another room, which he did, but at a cost. All in all a reasonable stay but the outside and some of the inside needs looking at.
